Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.. ##### Lester R. Opened the door, was very hot inside, no lights would come on, refrigerator/freezer was warn inside. Circuit breakers were not tripped. Apparently no power to the cottage at all. The host did not know when power would be restored, so we left with no place to stay. There were no other vacancies in the area, so we drove home dejected. What a waste of driving and our plans fell through. Since the place was warm, the power must have been off for a few days. Host allowed full refund, but VRBO would not allow it. So I am fighting with VRBO to provide 100% refund. They still owe me $55 and they are ignoring my emails. Been about 9 days since I heard from them and now I started a credit card dispute. What terrible customer service with VRBO. They should provide me with some kind of compensation for all our troubles.
