The decor is fabulous, it's super clean, and it smells good too! The Kitchen is stocked with everything you need for preparing gourmet meals; seriously. The land scamping and the grounds are professionally maintained, immaculate, and absolutely beautiful. The back yard has destination areas that include garden art statuary(very tastefully done), a separate firepit seating area, BBQ area, and a cozy back porch complete with seating and a bistro area for two. We were so pleasantly surprised. Kathy goes above and beyond to make sure your stay at the Dwelling Place is everything you could hope for and more. We asked for special provisions upon our arrival, and no problem. Kathy made sure our request was fulfilled, and she even provided more than we asked for. Can't say enough good things about this property and its host. Truly a Premiere Verbo property. We would definitely stay here again! Our only regret is that we booked a short stay in this jewel of a cottage. We all wished we could have stayed longer. ##### julie c. We visited last Thanksgiving and knew we would be back! McKinney is a wonderful place and the Dwelling Place is within walking distance of all locations; coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and attractions. It is literally in the middle of North Dallas and all roads lead to its location.We had a wonderful visit in August. Everything was green and growing, with flowers blooming. We could spend more time on the porch for morning coffee and evening chats around the fire pit.Most importantly, it gave us another chance to get to know our hosts a little better. They are very involved in the community and want everyone to share their love for McKinney. We followed up on many of their suggestions and enjoyed them all.Check-in is easy. The luxury accommodations made us comfortable and prepared for a new day. The kitchen is state-of-the-art and the laundry is remarkable. No detail is overlooked. The wine was a nice touch after the long drive through traffic. Everything was just like the pictures and everything was in its place. The house and neighbors were quiet. Everything was clean, and the kitchen was well organized. There were plenty of fresh towels. That little walk-in-closet was perfect for his/hers. Plenty of hangers to hang your clothes. I wanted to sit out in the swing and in the back yard but, it was a bit too cold. The front and the back yard was beautiful. I loved the large pavers and rock together in the front. Séjour de 8 nuits en décembre 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Brian F. 18 déc. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### A Jewel In North Texas A jewel in North Texas, the Dwelling Place is a charming and well-appointed home within walking distance of historic McKinney's quaint restaurants and shops and within minutes of many other attractions in North Texas. Our hosts anticipated every need and still checked in to see if we were satisfied or if there was anything more we needed. The home is immaculate and comfortable, situated on a quiet side street. There are patios front and rear on a beautiful yard where I can imagine enjoying a coffee or reading a good book (little chilly during our stay). We were in town to celebrate an early holiday with our grandchildren, shop for Christmas and enjoy some down time. The Dwelling Place is more than a place to overnight. It was an integral part of our experience and a wonderful place to start our holiday. Thanks Kathy and Sayres for the warm hospitality and enjoyable stay! We will be back! ##### Brian F. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and character of the home. The blend of original architectural details with modern amenities created the perfect balance of comfort and nostalgia. The home was immaculately clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true retreat. The location was ideal—just a short walk to the quaint downtown McKinney area with its fantastic shops, restaurants, and scenic parks. We enjoyed relaxing on the lovely porch and taking in the beautiful neighborhood, which felt both peaceful and welcoming. The hosts were incredibly responsive and clearly care about providing a top-notch experience for their guests. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just a peaceful escape in a beautiful historic home, I highly recommend this VRBO property. Quaint home, excellent curb appeal. Interior achieved the difficult balance of classy, welcoming, and functional. Kitchen well equipped and organized. Beds super comfortable. Immaculate cleanliness. The fire pit in the back is great for evenings. It was perfect! The hosts were extremely fast to respond and they were amazing! I would definitely stay here again if I come to this area.
