Washer and dryer located on main floor. Central heat and AC! All linens and towels are provided along with basic soaps. The location near the store and the trail can't be beat. The kitchen cooking area is fairly small, but adequate (appeared to me to be bigger in the photo - damn old eyes ;<} ) We would all gladly return to the Lodge at Ponderosa Place. Lots of creeks in the floor which adds to the mystique of the place. No place is perfect so, if your looking for a convenient place, nice clean accommodations, and warm showers (plenty of hot water) - THIS IS THE PLACE. It is also within an easy walk to downtown Custer and the local grocery store, Lynn’s. It was in a very convenient location for exploring Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, the Mammoth Site, brewery and winery. Numerous good restaurants in town as well….for a meal or just dessert. Everyone in town was extremely friendly. We were only 2 couples, but there is plenty of room for a larger family. The owner was very responsive to our questions and requests. Would stay here again if ever back in the area.
