The house is just as described and communication with the owners was excellent. They responded to all my questions and even worked with my husband to find a place to launch our boat and store the trailer. Our kids ranged in ages from 8 to 19 and they all loved it. The house was immaculately clean and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook with. I even told my husband that I think it’s the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed at. The lake level was lower, but we expected that since it’s winter/spring. It still has very deep water around the dock and my son was able to fish off of the dock and the shore. It’s a very nice dock and I liked to sit on the upper deck. There were not very many people on the lake while we were there (early March), but I could see how the lake would be bustling with boats once the weather gets warmer. Luckily I am a planner and brought everything under the sun because there were not a lot of extra supplies (such as dishwasher pods & tp) and there were no seasonings you could use. Some places have at least some basics but this did not. We have stayed at many places and I just bring whatever I think I will need. The Publix in Cullman does deliver which surprised me. The house description is 100% accurate. The views are beautiful. It is peaceful and relaxing to sit out on the front deck. The boat dock is perfect for hanging out, swimming, and fishing. We brought our jet ski and bass boat this year, and we had a great time out on the lake. I love the location of the house. Smith Lake was even more gorgeous in person! We stay in vacation rentals several times a year and have been to many lake destinations. The views from this house are tremendous pictures cannot capture the true beauty and serenity of this location. The house was immaculately clean and has been very well kept. I spent most of my time relaxing on the covered deck taking in the beauty and quietness of this pristine lake. My husband enjoyed fishing from the kayaks and on the dock and rocks. We flew in from Wyoming so we did stop at Publix and get our groceries. The property is in a remote area there are a couple of small grocery stores and a few restaurants so plan accordingly. The house was clean and updated. The 2-story dock was a hit with both kids and adults. The view from the front porch was amazing. The kids enjoyed all the places to jump off and swim. Also the upper level of the dock is a great place to relax and watch the sunset. Having access to the boat lift was a big plus for us as well.
