There are 3 cabins available for rent on the same large lot that can be rented together for larger groups or individually. Cabin A sits on top of Cabin B (Duplex), and Cabin C is on the other side of the property. There are two large swim piers to share. Room for 4 boats. Each cabin has 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Please note, this is cabin A. Experience the beauty of Smith Lake from the Rocking chairs on the large front porch. The lot is fully manicured and shaded, making it a cool shaded place for kids to play and to take a break from the sun. Jump in and enjoy the year round deep water from the 14x20 swim pier complete with a ladder and boat Cleats to tie off on. If your a fisherman, our fish are fed regularly and are easy to catch off the pier. After a long day of playing, kick back and relax in the beautiful cabin complete with cozy furniture, wifi, smart tv and a rustic feel. This cabin has 2 Queen beds, and one reclining sofa. We provide an outdoor charcoal grill for your pleasure. Location is everything! We are located 5 minutes from Dodge City, 15 minutes from Cullman, 40 minutes from Birmingham, and 55 minutes from Huntsville. The lake lot lays well; just walk through the yard to the dock walkway and you are on the water-you don't have to go down hundreds of steps to get to the water. We recently added additional parking at the road. Allowing easy access for 3 rigs with boats to back down into parking near the cabins and two additional rigs with boats to easily pull in and out at the entrance. Ave Maria Grotto, in Cullman, Alabama, is a landscaped, 4-acre park in an old quarry on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, providing a garden setting for 125 miniature reproductions of some of the most famous religious structures of the world. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on February 24, 1976, and to the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1984. The stone and concrete models are the work of Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk of St. Bernard's Abbey, who devoted some 50 years to the project, the last three decades (1932 to 1961) almost without interruption. They incorporate discarded building supplies, bricks, marbles, tiles, pipes, sea shells, marbles, plastic animals, costume jewellery, toilet bowl floats and cold cream jars. Born in 1878 in the Kingdom of Bavaria, Brother Joseph was maimed in an accident that left him slightly hunched due to cervical kyphosis. He immigrated to the United States as a teenager, settling in northern Alabama. Soon afterward he began studying at the newly founded Benedictine monastery of St. Bernard, where he took his vows in 1897. Br. Joseph was not allowed to be ordained as a priest, due to the rule of the period that stated any man with a distracting disability could not be ordained a priest. He ran the monastery’s power plant and was, even by a monk's standards, a withdrawn, quiet man. The second group to arrive weren’t lucky they lost there lodging and they were able to enter the premises after we checked in, and left the cabin unlocked. This raises security issues. I am alarmed that a computerized system double booked. I was also a little disappointed that the cabins were 2 up so we didn’t feel as though we had the cabin to ourselves we were sharing with strangers. Lastly small issues inlude only one trash bag was found for a 4 night stay, perhaps shelves above the toilet and the towel rack opposite the toilet to allow guests a place for their toiletries. The tv in main bedroom would not turn off. Was found unplugged upon arrival. Had to unplug it to turn off when leaving. ##### Karen S.
