The only demerit I have is: While, yes, the house is Minutes from the Great Sand Dunes, it's a good hour to get to the actual visitor center. The access they mention is to the back side of the dunes. Still amazing and let's you avoid tourist crowds, but my goal was to hike the tallest dunes which meant I had to drive to the other side. ##### John S. This property is exactly like the pictures, except the night sky viewing is SO MUCH MORE than a picture can show! The windows are a major plus as they enable a fantastic view. Property opener was very responsive to our inquiries before arriving. All communication was timely. We did have a difficult time with mosquitos. We were there the first week of July. Local merchants indicated this year was the worse they ever experienced. This difficulty had nothing to do with the property or the owner. It simply was an environmental inconvenience. However, if you are planning to experience the Great Sand Dunes, there were zero mosquitos while sand boarding. ##### Ronald G.
