A dedication to Crazy Horse the great warrior of the Teton Sioux. Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski began carving the memorial in 1948, requested by Cheif Henry Standing Bear & other Lakota elders. Korczak died in 1982, since then the work has been continued by Mrs Ziolkowski & seven of their children.
