The food is nothing to get excited about. The mexican night was the best food and entertainment night of the week. I miss the days you could order food pool side chair. We only did yhe breakfast and not yhe all inclusive and the breakfast was mediocre at best. Its nice that Dive Paradise now has their main shop at the hotel with lockers and 2 rinse tanks. It was a great hotel with amazing beach and access to a clear ocean view of fish. You could snorkel and swim from the hotel property. The easy access to pier which allowed my fishing charter to pick me up right from pier. Super easy. I like the location, and the service was very good. The pool area is very nice and the breakfast that was included was good also. I am glad we did not pay for the all inclusive as there are only two restaurants. Snorkeling is included and if you are scuba diver there is a dive shop onsite. This hotel is located centrally to all the shopping and dining and really to anything you might want to do. This was a pleasant place to stay, room was clean ac was cold and the grounds are well maintained. There was no WiFi in the rooms at the time of our stay. It is a typical tile floor, dirty bathroom, patio light doesnt shut off until 9pm, absolutely no frills room that is located across the street from the beach. For the same money...you can get a cheap equivalent room on the beach. This one has. Dive Paradise licated on the property however. This was my worst experience. The room had NO furniture whatsoever except the beds and a refrigerator. In the past there was a dresser, a table, and two chairs. I had to bring in a plastic chair from the veranda in order to sit on the room. They would not allow me to make a room charge for the first two days, insisting I paid cash. When I questioned it at the front desk, they said it was a mistake and it was fixed. The shower needs work. The shower head old and does not move and sprays everywhere. In the good side, the breakfast buffet was very good, as in the past. Some workers are very good at their jobs some are just here. The people who booked the adventure trips at the hotel tried to charge us an extra $20 and when we asked for our $170 back the guy had to pull $20 out of his wallet. When we originally looked online to book it was $90 a night but booked a week later and it was $1400 for 8 nights because a conference came in so watch when you book. Double rooms has dressers, nightstands and tables but a king room has 1 stand, 1 suitcase rack, nightstands and a hammock so really no place to put your things. Rooms has a refrigerator, safe and 4 clothe hangers. Air works well. Some shade on beach across the street. Not really a kid friendly beach. About a 15 minute walk to town. 10 minute walk to grocery store. Breakfast was fantastic, ordered salads one night and it was drowning ind dressing. Hamburgers were precooked and flank steak had strange seasoning and potatoes were strange taste and texture. ##### Michelle Stayed 7 nights in May 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### Lindsey Sep 27, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities Overall I'd say things were great! I'd definitely come back to this resort in the future! Check-in: It seems check-in always takes a while, especially after a long day of traveling. Everything went smoothly, the person helping us was very patient and personable. We received welcome drinks that were delicious! 10/10 (although I do wish Expedia clarified that the all-inclusive option was not included. That was an unexpected expense, and quite pricey). Room: It was great! The AC worked great, the shower was good, had warm water. There was a hammock in the room that we spent quite a bit of time in. The balcony was also nice! 10/10 Facilities: Pool was clean and spacious, they had activities during the day. All the bars were great. Everyone was very nice and helpful. One negative and it could have been because we were visiting in the off season: breakfast started at 6:30 and we had an early excursion that we had to make the 8AM ferry for. We arrived at 6:30 AM and they were still setting everything up. None of the hot foods were out, they only had fruit and cheese out. The hot food didn't show up until around 6:50 but by that time we had to start going and didn't leave much time to actually eat. Again, it could have been because we were in the off-season so things were a little slower getting started but it wasn't a great start to the day considering we were expecting to be able to eat our included breakfast before heading out for the day.
