It was a rainy weekend but made extra cozy with the fireplace. The space has a lot of charm and character for an older home. The ocean views are stunning. The surrounding trees were full of song birds which we could see up close with the telescope along with the many boats in the harbor. The kitchen is fully stocked and the linen closet too. If you are wanting to walk into Cowichan Bay it is about 10 min downhill into the village along quiet, residential streets. We felt safe and enjoyed the privacy of the neighborhod. Not accessible if you have mobility problems. We left a print out of 'recycling' rules to add to the host binder. Recycling is big in BC, and the rules for the Cowichan District have recently changed. We didn't know there was someone living or renting the basement suite below, so that was a surprise but we never saw or heard them. Very quiet neighborhood with great parking.
