"Don't be mistaken by first impressions as you drive up to this property. I'd like to call it a diamond in the rough. The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. Park your car and forget it. Everything is within easy walking distance. This is our second time for this property and will definitely try to stay again next year. "

The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng. "The unit we stayed at was well kept. Feels new. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The beds were the best part, very comfortable. We had 1 full bath and 1/2 bath that were clean with tons of clean towels and quality brand Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. We will definitely book here again on our next trip to Maine. "Our unit was a 2 Queen bed Townhouse room. We couldn't believe it, we loved it!! Everything was brand new. The staff was very helpful and kind to guiding us where to eat and of course how to get to "Marginal Way". The grounds were well kept and the gas grills spotless. Wish we could have stayed longer."
