![The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. 
We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake.

"Mon séjour au Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen a été très agréable. Dans l’ensemble, tout était très bien : l’hôtel est moderne, les installations sont excellentes et le personnel est très aimable, avec une ambiance détendue et plaisante. La plage de l’hôtel est un peu rocheuse, mais ce n’est pas vraiment un problème, car il est facile de marcher jusqu’à la plage de l’hôtel voisin, qui est plus belle et plus confortable pour se baigner. Un gros point positif est le room service gratuit ainsi que le service sur la plage, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus confortable et relaxant. Le seul point négatif est le manque de chaises longues à la piscine. Elles sont souvent réservées très tôt, ce qui peut être frustrant si vous souhaitez passer du temps au bord de la piscine. Dans l’ensemble, je recommande cet hôtel pour un séjour agréable avec de bons services, en gardant simplement à l’esprit le problème des chaises à la piscine."

"Le personnel était formidable. Tout l'équipe était souriant et toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons adoré la selection de nourriture, bar à pizza, sushi, café, bar à collation ouvert 24/7, un buffet et trois restaurants. La chambre était vraiment belle et propre. La piscine était asser grosse et très belle. Les bars étaient tousse excellent et d'excellent brevage à volonté. La proximié à la ville était formidable et directement sur l'océan.
