"This property is a doorway to nature's paradise. Being set in jungle with an open living theme there is nothing to not love about Congo bongo. The cry of howler monkeys at 4am followed by the jungle waking up to the evening cry of the toucan nature is all around. The ambience is complimented by the warmth and friendliness of the people who call this place home."

"The place is clean and peaceful. The pool was refreshing and the yard had shade and has wildlife that comes by often. We saw sloths, howler monkeys, capybaras, tucans and anoles. The kitchen is well equiped. Big things for me: sharp kitchen knife and plentiful ice trays. Hosts extremely helpful. The place was very easy to find. Internet worked as described. The fans provided great breezes. The outdoor shower was amazing. Make sure you try it at night and when it rains! We will come again."

"The host was friendly and gracious. The house is a bit better than the photos. If you have problems climbing stairs though, that will be an issue because they're a bit steep, but for location you can't beat this place! It's literally 100 feet from the beach, and you can hear the waves from the bedroom. There's no better location anywhere."

"The staff was super responsive and hotel gave an excellent jungle experience. I will say the location was deceptive. The map looks like its in Cahuita when its actually a 45 minute drive away in Punta Uva. Also you must pay for your stay in cash or they will charge an exorbitant credit card fee."

We were treated to fresh fruits and an educational walk of the property by our hosts. We loved the sound of the oceans waves breaking on the beach and the sounds of the forest. "I had booked two nights and ended up staying four because I liked it there so much. The rustic cabins are decently sized- I was alone- and clean. There's a bed, a small kitchen area, bathroom, and TV. It's located about 2-3 km from Puerto Viejo. I walked to town for the exercise and enjoyment and it's about 1/2 hour walk. "If you don't mind a big pile of sand just out your front door and a swimming pool hole work in progress right out your back door plus dust and construction noise all day long. I did mind this and could only handle one night there because they would not allow me to cancel the first night. This property as not suitable for guests until the construction project is completed!"

"I liked the room very much, very spacious and good area, for value much better than the dumps I saw in the city center. the owner helpful and nice. The only problem is that the hotel is indeed about twice as far from the city center as indicated, so if you dont have transport its a long walk about 2:9 kms. each way. "Lovely resort tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. You wouldn’t even know it’s there. Need to have coffee makers in the rooms along with access to communal water and ice. For the price, it was expensive."
