Sep 7, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location 5 start potential but currently falls woefully short. It's a decent option but I personally would look for something else based on my experience.Positives: pics are accurate; host quickly responds; working level 2 EV charger; fully stocked kitchen; newer construction and clean; 2 min. walk to Madden Bald Trailhead and 12 min. drive to the Cosby Picnic Area; and is a 35-40 min drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Negatives: Musty/mildewy smell on the first level. Host misrepresents the property as “dog friendly” and only tells you after the free cancellation window that dogs are NOT allowed on furniture or beds. Door code to access the property was not provided until I messaged host asking for it. Check-in is 4 pm and at 4:05 pm and the cleaning crew was still there finishing cleaning. The AC in the upstairs bedroom was moved by the cleaners resulting in it leaking all over the floor requiring me to clean it up and a visit from maintenance. The hot tub was burn your skin off hot and unusable for the first day until it cooled off. The hammock is moldy. There is not a single dresser or closet in the entire house - I hope you like living out of a bag. The provided soaps are off-brand products you’d buy from the dollar store. The fireplace in the living room does not work. The wood for the outdoor fire is damp and impossible to use to make a fire. The fire area is not well kept. The “kids” tv room is GROSS. The interior siding is pealing from the walls and reeks of mildew. ##### Ali V.
