Lovely apartment

Very nice apartment neighbors quiet, only thing that I found was a problem was people do not pick up their dog poop or trash they toss trash in the water or on the roads , we are environmental people the place Padra island is lovely but garbage tossed anywhere is a concern and surely not a visual delight! The beach had trash floating on the seashore, very discouraging!

Excellent stay

The apartment fit our needs very well. Full size washer/dryer was great. We don’t like carpet because of my wife’s allergies so the fact that it had tile and hardwood floors was great. Very nice modern full size appliances and a nice location. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re staying for a week or more.

The condo was great. Loved the decor and the beach vibes. Enjoyed drinking coffee on the patio to the sunrise with the view of the channel. Only thing I did not like about the area which is not the fault of the provider was the stickers that would get stuck in my pets paws. They were every where. Other than that the place was PERFECT!

This place is clean and located close to the beach. However, while it is on a canal, it is on the end by the street so you have that traffic. The building looks run down on the outside but inside is nice. There is construction going on in front of the boat slips which doesn’t look great. It is the perfect size for a family of 3.

Very clean, would have like at least 2 more towels. Wish instead of Roku you had cable or dish. Not familiar with Roku and had problems. No TV in the bedroom which we would have like. Overall, those are silly things but was very impressed of the inside. The outside made us wonder what we were in for. Next time it will be a down stairs location for us. We are too old for the stairs. Like the key pad to get in and out of the house.

Buyer Beware

Let me start with the condo was fine. Well stocked, updated, clean. It’s at the end of a canal, so the view is what it is. But all in all a nice place. The problem is the management company, Padre Escapes. We travel with our dogs. I booked this condo in July (traveled in September). I put in we have two dogs, looked at the rate, paid the booking with VRBO just like I have 100 times in the past. Twenty Four hours before we are to check in I get a text and email from Padre Escapes requiring I sign an additional rental agreement and now have a TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLAR pet fee. If I did not sign, they would not release the condo to me. VRBO said that because the fee is listed (buried at the bottom of their listing) we had no recourse. If I canceled I was out the full reservation fee. I did not have time to board my dogs. Even though the reservation was two months old this was all done last minute so I had no option but to pay almost half again what my rental cost was. They did do me the ‘favor’ of cutting it in half. Very considerate of them. I got scammed. I will not not rent any property managed by Padre Escapes again, and I would suggest owners stop using them as well. I rent a condo in Arkansas and I use a management company. I would be LIVID if I knew this was how they treated people. Cute place. Buyer beware.

Cute weekend get away!

This was perfect for our little family. Super cute and easy access to the beach!! Location was perfect for us! Kitchen was fully equipped which was nice compared to some others we’ve stayed at. Just enough space for us, I definitely recommend!!
