We probably could have walked to more things if it hadn't been so hot and my son weren't so young, but as it was most things were a 2 to 5 minutes drive, including a Wegman's where you can get anything you might need. Easy, abundant parking. Check in was flawlessly easy, the host was kind and communicative. Everything was clean and well stocked (towels, sheets, dishes, and even thoughtful details like makeup removal pads). We did not cook, but you definitely could easily do so in the kitchen. Both a deck and a covered front porch. I wish we had had a little more time to take advantage of those nice spaces. There was no central air conditioning which was uncomfortable for me because I am particularly sensitive to heat and it was about 95 degrees every day. My son had no issue - the window units were fine for him, and there were working window units installed in every bedroom and the living room. We have friends who live in Corning, and my understanding is that lack of central air is pretty standard for the region. But something to keep in mind in general for visiting the area in summer if you have heat sensitivity. ##### Danielle S.
