It was so nice to have a place to come back and rest and make some of our meals which made it more comfortable and affordable than a couple of hotel rooms would have been. The host was very responsive. Listing is complete and informative, then the house manual answers all your other questions once you arrive. The home is rural so plan accordingly. We picked up groceries at Walmart 15 minutes away and next time I'll remember to include some cooking basics like salt, spices, and oil, but in general I found all the utensils and kitchen items I needed for some simple meals and snacks. Our three teenagers enjoyed their beds in the loft and we really took advantage of the fireplace on some very chilly evenings. Don't plan on leaving your pet at the house when you go out; I don't remember reading about that until we arrived which was fine, we adjusted. Glad we found this rustic little gem and will visit again next time we need a home base.. ##### Mel L. I felt right at home since I grew up in the country. We all enjoyed the cows, the dog, and--most of all--the frogs in the pond! It was nice and quiet but not a bad drive into town for lots of food options. The house itself is super cute. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Lots of room upstairs for the kids to hang out. Great old trees and a porch swing. Internet was spotty at times but that comes with the territory.
