Located in a large property in a protected area, at the entrance to the Odet, the most beautiful river in France and by the sea, this old renovated house of fisherman-gardener is the "feet in the water". From the breakfast taken in front of the ports of Bénodet and Sainte-Marine, the ballet of the sailing ships which go to the famous Glénan islands assure the spectacle. You will enjoy until late your large garden "on the sea" and the sunsets which illuminate the cornice of Bénodet and its famous villa "Minaret". The view is breathtaking. If you are an amateur, you will fish directly under your windows. The beach and the sailing school of Sainte-Marine are a few tens of meters away. A few minutes' walk away, your taste buds will discover excellent restaurants, including the exceptional "Villa Tri Men" (1 Michelin star). At the bakery, ask for the "café du port" bread .... The Pointe de la Torche and its surf spot, Concarneau and its old town, Quimper Cathedral are a few tens of kilometers ... But once installed in your home suspended above the Odet, you may not want to move. The owners don’t speak any English but were warmly welcoming. The cottage is more spacious than it appears on the website & is very comfortable with a great location (10min stroll to shops/restaurants & fabulous waterfront estuary view). The tiny shower room is very dated but the shower itself is very good. The kitchen is well equipped. The direct access to the water was perfect for fishing, paddleboarding and kayaking. Lots of outdoor space to store our things. The 2 beaches nearby were perfect for relaxing and swimming. The house is set in the grounds of a beautiful property. The host and owners are all very friendly. What is not clear in the English description of the property is sheets and towels are NOT included. You can chose to pay on arrival or as we did, supply your own. The children's beds are VERY small and the double bed hard. Doorways are low so beware. Hier kann man auch das Auto abstellen.Das Haus hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre und hat alles was man braucht. Der Schlafraum unter dem Dach ist ausreichend. Die Toilette mit Bad und Dusche ist eng, aber gleich um die Ecke. Die Duschkabinentür ist hoffentlich repariert, war aber noch zu schließen.Die Terrasse vor dem Haus ist wirklich schön. Atemberaubend wird inflationär gebraucht, die Aussicht hier aber ist wirklich einmalig schön.Der Weg zu den Restaurants ist nicht weit. Die Lokale sind gut. Die Muscheln im Quest waren ausgezeichnet.Zur anderen Seite des Odets ist Benodet für wenige Euro schnell erreicht.Die Gastgeber waren nett und wohnten auf dem Anwesen gegenüber im Herrenhaus. Eigenartig war lediglich die Abfallbeseitigung. Das Haus der Vermieter steht zwar nah dran, dennoch ist alles so gebaut und eingerichtet, dass das höchste Mass an Privatheit gewahrt wird.Wenn es Schwachpunkte gibt, dann ist es die Tatsache, dass vieles ein wenig improvisiert scheint. Das Bad ist wirklich sehr klein und eng, die Küche zwar im Grunde gut ausgestattet, aber nur zwei Kochplatten (neben Backofen und Mikrowelle) machen normales Kochen schon schwer. man muss sich entscheiden: Topf oder Pfanne. Sprachkenntnisse helfen sehr, um mit den netten, an allerlei Interessierten Vermietern ein wenig in's Gespräch zu kommen..... Die Lage im Park unter den uralten Bäumen, der Blick auf den Odet.... Erholung pur fürs Auge!! Für 4 Erwachsene ist das Häuschen ev ein wenig eng - vorallem wenn man Unterschlupf bei regnerischem Wetter suchen müßte.... Versorgung durch Wochenmärkte, kleinere Geschäfte im Dorf und Supermärkte knapp 5 Minuten entfernt 7 Tage pro Woche gewährleistet.... Ausflüge zu Natur und Kultur ( vom Hinkelstein bis zu Oceanopolis) in "Reichweite" Beste Grüße an die Vermieter, und sehr, sehr gerne wieder...... ##### Bert B. A savoir tout de même, la location est accolée à la demeure des propriétaires somme toute charmante dame. Pour ce qui est du confort: à noter que les lits de la chambre d'enfants du rez de chaussée ne sont pas larges (70 cm). Les toilettes du rez de chaussée sont accessibles uniquement par l'extérieur.
