I booked six months in advance. When I arrived at the property and my code worked to open the door, there were at least eight guys staying at the place and it was messy. There may have been illegal activity. They indicated their “boss” had booked the place for the week and could not give me any information. When I called the host, he didn’t answer my call. He later said he deactivated his VRBO account and forgot about my booking. He had no feasible alternative for where we could stay. He stated that his other property had a water break and that was why he had to move this group. He said we could stay there (at the property without water) even though we’d booked ages in advance of this group and should’ve had priority for the stay. He was not apologetic. ##### Victoria P.
