The cabin has a full bathroom with shower and a kitchenette/living area with sink, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker. (2026 glass dishes shown in photos will be replaced with disposable and full stove/range will be removed) Glacier National Park is within 20 minutes, as well as Whitefish, Kalispell and Big Fork. Local activities are within a couple of minutes, such as rafting and fishing on the Flathead River, or hiking many of the nearby trails! You are 5 minutes outside of the picturesque downtown of Columbia Falls with several restaurants and two grocery stores. The cabin is located on the owner's living property but you have as much or as little contact as you would like with the owners. I also loved going in the off season as a vacation is as much about getting away from people and seeing some place new. The only thing i missed was a hammock to read in the trees. It was my parents 45th wedding anniversary and my Mom wanted to visit Montana from Alberta and I found this beautiful cabin in the country side to stay for a night! 😊 everything we need was there in the kitchen except for a shampoo and soap in the bathroom area, we forgot to bring coz usually in accomodations they have soap and shampoo for compliment. My kids really enjoyed this. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Only reason I took a star for cleanliness was because the floors were pretty dirty when we arrived. One enters through a garden door from the patio into the kitchen area which isn’t shown in a photo but is very inviting!!!! The beds are so comfy, the furniture is cozy and the little kitchen has almost everything needed to cook up a great meal. We enjoyed having our dogs with us and taking them for walks around the property. There is lots of parking and laundry right next door in the camp kitchen and shower house. We stayed here for a full week during our family vacation to Glacier National Park. It was very peaceful and John welcomed us very warmly to our home-away-from-home for the week. It had all the amenities that made it really feel like home, from coffee filters to dish soap to paper towels. All of those little things add up to make it easier for us so we didn't have to run out and buy those things. John and Jenna were very responsive to any needs or questions we had, and we enjoyed getting to know them over the week. The location is perfect for accessing all the public lands around it, and has all the necessities of town, including restaurants, grocery stories and even urgent care. We really appreciated how quiet it was and the beds are really comfortable too. We had a wonderful time there and I can't say enough good things about it! Not because we are wild partiers etc.( far from it actually) but you just want to feel a sense of privacy. No problem at Columbia Mountain Ranch !!!!!! From the minute we arrived we were treated like we were just some relatives come for a visit. Host Jenna is great and whatever you need she is there for you. My dog loved the big property and we enjoyed many walks under the beautiful pines like we were on a stroll in the middle of nowhere. If you want to be left alone, no one will bother you. And on 30 acres , even with others around, solitude can be found. If you want to have a conversation or need some guidance on things to see and do all you have to do is ask and you'll be met with friendly engagement.
