Another amazing stay at the Granbell
This time we booked a double superior room, for extra space as we had 2 big pieces of luggage and it was perfect. The hotel is well located on the sea front close to a couple of cute coffee places, in a neighbourhood that's nice for shopping and walking. The hotel and rooms are stylish and tastefully decorated. The rooms are well equipped, with good bedding, an extra little sofa to rest and admire the view from. The bathrooms are functional, practical and stylish too (even more so in the classic double room) with Japanese style toilets and spacious bathtub. We had a balcony which was nice too. Room service dinner has a short list but the food was tasty, same for breakfast served on the 9th floor. Try the Minori restaurant, it is really good, serving light and crispy tempura and fresh sushi. Last but not least the infinity pool + bubble pool are simply stunning. Good vibes at the rooftop bar. The sauna is a big plus, and the gym is good.

The hotel is ok but the room is too small there is no space you can’t even walk . They didn’t gave us any slippers and bath robes . The breakfast is not good they don’t have much option. The service is worst .Also from the room fridge horrible smells came out .

Bra vid första anblick, men bristande hygien i köket, blev matförgiftad, hotellets toalett i lobbyn hade det bästa möggel-doften jag någonsin har känt. Vi fick inte låna något omklädningsrum efter vi hade checkat ut. Rummen var bra och bra frukost.

Great quality hotel, excellent designed rooms and very clean. Rooms fresh with good air conditioning and not humid like sometimes is the case with hotels in Columbo. Lovely staff, nice facilities and great city and sea views. Would definitely go back again!

This hotel should not have cost $100, maybe half. It has a nice bathroom and pool and that's about it. The rooms are tiny and there are clear issues with door locks and appearance. The room service took almost an hour for a cheese burger and 2 fries and the room service person was very rude when she called to ask for payment. Terrible service.

I stayed in the water facing room with balcony and it was one of the best thing ever! The hotel itself is extremely beautiful & New located in a beautiful and calm area in colombo. Very tranquil and peaceful! Netmi from reception who is super friendly, accommodating, and organized everything for me neatly. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and have wonderful smiles. Special thanks to Netmi - Rection, Neeliya - Coffeeshop (Makes the best matcha frappe) & Isuru - Housekeeping The Hotel has great food options and I have had most of my meals in the Hotel itself. Overall, would definitely recommend this Hotel and would love to come back.!

The rooms are on the small side and well appointed. A highlight is the Toto Washlet toilet/bidet. However, I wanted to like the Granbell but experienced multiple issues during my week-long stay. First, the rooftop bar food is subpar but expensive, and the service is only so-so. There were also multiple late night (very early morning; 3 am) false fire alarms, which was very disturbing. On arrival, my room had no hot water, and then on the last night of my stay my room (only) lost all power. The cleaning staff also neglected to provide any towels when refreshing my room.

チェックイン前に到着したので清掃中なので１４時には部屋を用意できるとのことで、１６時にホテルに戻った際部屋を別の方に提供したとの事で結局1時間近く待ち部屋に入れました。ロビーにはチェックイン待ちの苛立った旅行者で溢れていました。 排水溝の掃除をしていないようでお湯が溢れてきて十分にシャワーを浴びれなかったので、夜にフロントへ清掃の依頼をしましたが、３０分以上待っても来なかった。電話で伝えたら「翌朝まで清掃はしません」と言われたので再度フロントへ行き、強く訴えました。その後ようやく清掃者が来ました。日系ホテルで予約し期待していましたが残念です。

Terrible check in. Breakfast was just a car crash. No system, no process, no management the food quality poor. Staff can’t be bothered including the chef. Basically you need to fight through the people to get to the food and when you do most of it has run out. By the time you get toast, your eggs are cold. It’s just horrific and that is me putting it nicely
