"Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander).
Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though.
Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."

"I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!"

"My best friend and I stayed 10 days at this beautiful cottage. Apart from the narrow stairs leading up to the bedrooms, the cottage was absolutely gorgeous and quaint. The garden was well kept, and beautiful too. It was very quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. And the people on the island were so friendly. DEFINITELY worth staying at, AND it's worth 5 stars. Thanx again to Diane 😊💖"

"We did enjoy our stay..Although arriving on Boxing Day with not one Christmas decoration insight was sad..
Everything felt bleak and empty..
Other then that we were happy with everything.."
"It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."
