A bit about McCabe Coffs Retreat… Affectionately known as “The Home that Coffs Built” this property is a wonderful legacy to Allan and Julie McCabe who are well known locals in the Coffs Harbour area. Allan McCabe suffered a major sporting accident leaving him a quadriplegic, at the time Alan's wife Julie was pregnant with their second child. The news of the accident rocked not only their family, but the whole Coffs Harbour community. Over 900 people came together to build this home. Local electricians, brickies, carpenters, interior designers, and retailers have all put their hands up to be a part of the project. A true testament to what community can achieve when helping hands come together for a cause. We are honoured to be able to provide the ultimate retreat for those with a disability and their families to come together in the beautiful coastal town of Coffs Harbour. Just 1 km from the Pacific Hwy, (and only 4 minute drive to our stunning beaches!) positioned half way between Sydney and Brisbane. Please note Cctv cameras are set up at the property. I had family from Qld and Victoria stay with us and the size and the open areas plus the pool was fantastic.I few small suggestions there is a lot of switches in the house including one in the laundry that controls the hot water these need to be labelled as we had no hot water for 24 hours when someone turned the switch off a simple label would have prevented this. Special mention to the maintenance bloke Tom who cleaned the pool twice while we were there and was very helpful with other things on our visit. Thankyou we will be staying again ##### George S.
