#### Its 54 holes provide a pervading sense of luxury and a welcoming atmosphere. This course in southern Spain makes it easy to spend an entire vacation playing golf.

Golf Novo Sancti Petri, perched above the Anadalusian coast, offers premium destination golf. Served by two luxury hotels and three full 18-hole golf courses, Novo Sancti Petri attracts global visitors and hosts many golf tournaments. Staff members welcome you and provide advice for the somewhat challenging obstacles on the course. Feel like a professional golfer on its perfectly manicured greens.

Get a tingly sense of excitement on the first nine holes of the club’s most famous course, Mar y Pinos (Sea and Pines). Wide-open fairways include artificial water obstacles snaking through the grass. At the sixth hole, look out to the sea. Continue on through the pine section, where trees rustle with the activities of native birds and animals. Do not despair at the end, because 36 more holes of golf await. Time your game to watch the sunset from the course or at the clubhouse.

All three courses are par 72, but each has its own characteristics. Make a plan of attack for the next round while eating tapas and drinking wine or beer in the club house. Choose between a buffet or a fine-dining experience of Spanish delicacies made with local ingredients.

Perfect your swings and putts on the extensive practice greens, which also have their own café-bar. For more intense coaching, head to the academy, which has trained some of the best golfers to tackle anything that might come at them.

Reach Golf Novo Sancti Petri in 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by bus from central Chiclana de la Frontera to the north. The course is a 15-minute walk from the nearest beach, which has many hotels. The closest airport is in Jerez, a 40-minute drive from the course. Drive to the airport in Seville in 90 minutes. Limited visitor parking is available on site. Rent a cart from the pro shop.

The course is open from early morning until dusk. Each 18-hole course takes an average of over 4 hours to complete. The restaurant is open daily from early morning to late evening and stays open late in August. Book tee times and hotel stays online.

Pros: Excellent location right in the centre of everything. Apartment not huge but has everything required for an overnight stay. Cons: Room not ready at check in time, had to wait in lobby until 3.30pm. Stayed on a Saturday night and the noise from nearby bar/club, thumping techno music, kept us awake until 4.30am (music stopped at around 4am then the noise from crowds on street for another 30 mins). Even with earplugs and windows closed you couldn't escape it! Room not cleaned particularly well as we had the unpleasant discovery of hairs and a toe nail on the floor next to the bed, the rest of the apartment was clean however & these things can happen it just needed a more thorough vacuuming. Overall a shame as the apartments are good and you couldn't get a better location, also the rooftop bar and pool are really nice and not overpriced. It would be great when there isn't music pounding into the early hours perhaps this just happens on Saturday but I'd check first.

The public areas of the hotel are beautiful. The breakfast was good value and the staff really pleasant and helpful. Our room - double extra - was simple, although dark with only a small window. The bathroom was old fashioned but clean. Nice sunny rooftop terrace. Good value.
