Decorating was a little overboard with a heavy bear theme, but adequately-sized for a small number of occupants. “Fenced” backyard needs work to contain a large dog unsupervised. Wildlife (deer, elk, skunks, birds, etc.) frequently move through the neighborhood. Hot tub on the back porch was a nice touch. The cabin is in a nice location, within easy walking distance to “downtown” Cloudcroft, which includes several eating establishments and great bakeries. Many hiking trails nearby. Amazingly enough, despite its size, Cloudcroft does not really have a grocery store, per se, so better to bring your own or stock up in Alamogordo before coming up the hill. Very minor and expensive “groceries” are for sale at the local convenience store (Allsups). ##### Lee W.
