It was tiny, dingy, dark and the furniture was falling apart. It smelled musty and we felt gross being there. We left after staying one night for another hotel. « La mer est accessible près de l'hôtel mais attention si vous avez envie de mettre les pieds dans l'eau, les marches sont glissantes et dangereuses pour accéder à la mer. J'ai glissé et suis tombée brutalement et me suis fracturée un orteil (vue par radio) et contusionnée sur les jambes. La chambre étant au 4ème étage sans ascenseur ça été un peu dure le lendemain matin pour descendre les 4 étages. De plus, le nom de l'auberge est trompeur, j'ai cru réservé mon hébergement sur l'île de Miyajima...

![I'm actually at sea now on the way to Matsuyama in Shikoku. By super jet (as in speed boat) it is 68 mins away. Am v surprised that I could still get internet connection while out here! Not exactly no where but it's the sea, the Japan inland sea.

My thought is this... It didn't take that long for Japan to recover. Pearl Harbor was unfortunate. That was history. Makes me wonder if I actually just boarded my ferry from the same harbor?!
