Nestled on 5 acres of woods on the south end of Whidbey Island, this newly remodeled house boasts three bedrooms—one large primary with a king bed and en suite bathroom, one with queen bed, and one with two twin beds. Both bathrooms are equipped with all usual amenities and heated floors. The house also includes a washing machine, iron, heating, Wi-Fi, hot tub, and a fully stocked kitchen. Outside on the 5 acres of private woods you will find a large firepit, trails, and our very own hidden glacial erratic! Also available is a level 1 (110v) EV Tesla charger. Located near Cultus Bay and Possession Point State Park, with nearby access to spectacular Puget Sound beaches. A short 2-minute walk to Bailey's Corner Store. Bailey's is a classic country store offering live music on Saturdays, trivia night on Thursdays, and open mic on Fridays. They have an indoor beer area with stage, and in the summer, an outdoor beer garden. Fifteen minute drive to Langley and thirty-five to Coupeville. The host, James, is very thoughtful and delightful. The kitchen beckons you to cook rather than go out to eat. The hot tub was clean, hot, and pleasant under the stars. The fire pit and the decorated walking trail appealed to us forest lovers. This is a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful home. This place does not disappoint! James was the most amazing host. Kind, considerate, quick to reply, and so thoughtful. The home is beautiful and very well kept. Everything was clean and organized. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were provided. Check in/out was a breeze. The home itself is very cozy and modern. Some of our favorite amenities were the espresso maker, heated bathroom floors, and the beautiful shower and comfy robes in the primary bathroom. The yard is very peaceful and we had fun exploring the trails around the property. The hot tub was fantastic and we spent hours relaxing around the huge new fire ring every evening. It is a short 10 minute drive to Possession Point State Park, less than 20 minutes to Freeland (highly recommend the Freeland Cafe for all day breakfast and the cute thrift store directly behind it) and we loved visiting Langley and strolling the boardwalk and shops. This was our second trip to Whidbey Island and we’re already planning the next one. We will definitely book James’ place again.
