Jody was quick to respond to our questions and text messages. The house was quaint and great for a small group. Amenities were perfect and met our needs. The property details all described SLEEPS 8. This is NOT true. 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There were NO pull out sofas as described on Travelocity or VRPO. Had we had 8 adults we would have not been able to stay at this property. With 5 adults it was inconvenient. We had to bring the twin bed from an outside storage shed. There was a parking area right beside the house and didn’t need to park on the street which was a great feature. Overall was a great experience with exception of sleeping quarters.

Bigly Disappointed

The first thing we noticed walking in was the sickening sweet perfume smell...an indication something was being covered up. We looked up and a quarter inch of dust covered the fan blades and looking down, the baseboards had not been cleaned in years. The microwave had splattered food in it and the garbage disposal smelled of something dead. The kitchen faucet was broken with a sign asking to "be gentle". The dryer lint filter appeared to have never been cleaned and there were wet clothes in the washer. The bathroom rugs were matted and dirty and the exhaust fans were covered with dust. Before unpacking the car, I had to clean a gooey pastry covered in ants from the patio and then hose it down to avoid our dog eating it. The backyard was hazardous with stacked aluminum siding, concrete pavers and tall grass. There are new and old pictures on the site and some do not match the actual layout. These are some of the major things but there are lots of minor things we could talk about. Not worth the money! Will not rent this property again and will not trust Vrbo on future rentals.

Pictures misleading for sleeping arrangements

The location was good and the rest of the accommodations were satisfactory. It was within walking distance to some restaurants and bars as well as a grocery store nearby. However, based on the description and photos, when we booked the property we thought there would be enough comfortable sleeping for four adults to each have our own bed. The photos are not accurate to the property when we arrived. There was a king and queen bed and a twin bed on the floor. There were not 2 sofas that transformed into beds as the description gave. It was an L shaped couch but it wasn't a sleeper sofa. I contacted the owner a few days prior and received a response quickly. However, the day of our arrival, I called and texted in the morning to request instructions on how to get into the property. I didn't receive a response. I tried to make contacts again about two hours prior to arrival, no response. I ended up having to call VRBO to get assistance. In addition, I texted the contact for check out instructions since there weren't any at the property, no response. I texted the contact later in the day after we left to let them know what we did (run dishwasher, dirty towels in tub, removed sheets from beds). She responded later that day or the next and explained she had been out of town. I'm not sure how that would prevent someone from responding to a text.

Nice House - Good location

The house was very nice in a good and quiet neighborhood - Close to Newport and downtown Cincinnati. The house fit our needs - it was clean and comfortable and was well stocked. Thank you Jody and thank you Linda for a great vacation. We enjoyed our stay very much. Rose S.

Quaint and Comfortable

We were visiting our daughter and basically only used the house for sleeping. Jody, the owner, was a very delightful hostess. She was very accommodating. The cottage was quaint and comfortable and if we had had more time, it was a great area to explore .

Spring Break Getaway

Cute, cute property and convenient to Newport, Cincinnati, and downtown Bellevue. Jody’s communication was great! She even recommended a street taco food truck in Dayton which was excellent. The kitchen would have had everything we needed but we didn’t use it and decided to try out all the local restaurants. Although the house was close to others, we had complete privacy. Our 6 pound rescue Chiweenie sure enjoyed the fenced in back yard. We hope to stay at this location again when visiting the area.

Bellevue VRBO

The rental property suited our needs very well. Bedrooms were large enough and we had plenty of room. The fenced in gate worked well for our puppies. They had a washer and dryer you could use if you stayed long enough. Everything in the kitchen, baths worked well. We were very satisfied with the experience! Thank you!!

This property was perfect for us. We had plenty of room for the dogs and us on our trip. The neighborhood was quiet. The walk to downtown Bellevue was five minutes.

Listing and property were not as described

This listing needs to be updated so that it is accurate. First, it is not 2 bathrooms, rather 1.5 and more accurately, 1.25 since the 2nd bathroom is literally so tiny that you can barely turn around in it. The brown family room furniture in the pictures looks comfortable but has been replaced by a horribly uncomfortable 3 seat bench with a couple of cushions. My husband and I both have severe body aches after sitting on it for the weekend There is no kitchen table and chairs - just the small island in the kitchen with stools. There is only one television in the family area, vs. the two that are claimed. The owner seems nice but we never would have rented this if the pictures and description were accurate. There was no point complaining when we arrived because we had no place else to go but we were very disappointed and hope to spare others from this experience.

Falsely Advertised, Lack of Privacy

We rented this place for a month while we closed on our new house. We chose it because it was pet friendly and had a fully enclosed 6ft privacy fence. It turned out to be the worst rental experience we've ever had. The house didn't match the photos and was falsely advertised (some different furniture, awkwardly rearranged furniture, missing TVs, only 1.5 baths instead of 2, fence gate had been cut in half and didn't latch properly, etc). They also stated how clean the place was, but we found other people's shampoo stuck to the shower curtain and walls on day one, mold on the shower head, some stained linens, and mold in the HVAC vents. There were items that needed repairs, most notably the tub/shower (diverter sent most water thru the tub spout instead of the shower head, tub didn't drain well, cracked grout lines, less than 15 minutes total of hot water). Many renovations were poorly done (kitchen sink handle hit the wall, half bath wasn't built to code so the door wouldn't fully open and your knees almost touch the wall when using the toilet, the main bathroom vanity drawers hit the door trim, the closet wasn't even deep enough to hold a standard size hanger). The owner sent people over to work outdoors on personal projects several times (including before 8am) but they never once mowed the grass, which got up to 2ft tall in certain spots. They left construction debris and dirt in the yard and on the sidewalk, including boards with nails sticking straight up. We didn't arrive until midnight for check in, and they even had a worker there at that exact moment, resulting in a cop showing up to tell him to stop disturbing the neighbors with his power tools. It also delayed our check in because we had to wait for them to clear out. They had Amazon packages shipped to the house, unbeknownst to us and then showed up unannounced to get them. They also violated the VRBO policy that states that we are supposed to be notified of surveillance cameras on the property. They also refused to honor the rental price they quoted us, which I won't get into here since it's still an ongoing matter. The last thing I'll say is that we always take before and after photos of rentals for our own private records; therefore, we have proof that we left the place in good condition, despite any claims to the contrary.

Spacious weekend choice

We stayed 3 nights in this quaint Bellevue house, located on a quiet street, the perfect location for walking through neighborhoods, downtown, or driving to nearby towns or shopping areas. Jody is a great host, providing water, sodas, and snacks. We had an issue with the heat and thermostat, and she immediately had a crew there to replace it. Open concept with bedrooms at either end of the house. We didn’t use the fenced-in side yard but could see it as a plus during warmer weather. It was perfect for us for a weekend getaway with privacy.

When traveling with dogs

Not easy finding a place that allows dogs. This home fit our needs. Clean, comfortable and quiet neighborhood. We came for Blink Fest and this location worked out well. It was an easy Uber ride to anywhere we wanted to be.
