Running hot water and power always available through an impressive off-grid setup that she was happy to show us as my wife and I also live the off-grid lifestyle and it was cool to learn how other Alaskans make it work. « It's a great place to stay. well set up. only two comments. the tenant's upstairs were noisy till the early hours of the morning and the "sharp" knife was very blunt. My wife made a lovely roast, but we couldn't carve it due to a very blunt knife and nothing to sharpen it with. »

« Girdwood condo location was perfect. A small town with wonderful friendly people. We flew into Anchorage. The condo was only 45 minutes from airport. Each day we explored a different area within a two hour drive. The restaurants in Girdwood were very good, especially Spoonline and Jack Sprat. The tram ride is a must. »
