Step right out the back door to our white sandy beach and warm shimmering sea. You’ll get no closer to the water than here at ‘Breeze On Inn.’ Our spacious 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo is less than 75 feet from the turquoise blue Caribbean on a 500 foot stretch of beach and calm, bathing water. There is a gate from the condo gallery (patio) directly onto the beach. The snorkeling is great at our artificial reef just a short swim away from the beach. From your private gallery, you are just steps from the sand and sea. Begin every morning experiencing a different sunrise as it peeks above the east end of St. Croix across the palm-lined beach. A perfect way to start your day is with breakfast on the beach, watching the waves break on our nearby coral reef. Later on, sun, swim, snorkel, or just stroll the shoreline as cool trade winds accompany you wherever you go. Pour a cool drink and relax under the swaying palms to the sound of gentle waves slapping the shore while being caressed by the warm island breeze. The gallery is comfortably furnished for evening relaxation and al fresco dining. This large outdoor living area has an unobstructed ocean view. Inside, the suite is as large as many homes (1432 square feet), and it is perfect for one couple, two couples or a family of four. One couple will enjoy a bedroom on the beach and another a garden view. Families or two couples will have private bedrooms and full baths. The guest room features two twin beds (that can be converted to a king-sized bed), a comfortable couch, and sliders that open to a garden area view. Got little ones? We even have a Pak ‘n Play for your use. The living area features a plush and comfortable couch and seating for viewing the ocean or a large flat-screen television. There is a full-sized glass dining table inside and another one on the gallery outside. The sliders open to the gallery providing a fantastic breeze and view. The spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating, dining for (6), Streaming TV, DVD and FREE Wi-Fi. The kitchen views out onto the multiple blue hues of the Caribbean Sea, so making meals is a pleasure when you want to eat in. There are many fine restaurants nearby, and one on either side of the condominium, a short walk across the beach. The condo features a new mini-split A/C system with individual temperature controls in each room for comfortable temperatures should you need extra coolness. Most of the time, you will want to open the sliders and enjoy the offshore breezes all day long. The light, airy complex has you feeling like you are outdoors. Two bathrooms, each with shower (1 with tub/shower combo) are stocked with plenty of towels, soap and shampoo. The full kitchen has plenty of dishware, cookware, glasses and utensils and all major appliances, including microwave and a blender to try out some frozen drink recipes. There is even a washer/dryer for your use. Sugar Beach is a beachfront, security patrolled complex located close to Christiansted for dining, shopping and sight-seeing. It has a fresh water pool with plenty of deck space, gas grills, basketball and tennis courts and direct beach access. There are 2 restaurant/bars within walking distance and 2 grocery stores that are walking distance or a short drive. SARGASSO Update: The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach. The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free. The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September. This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. It could use a little updating but we spent so little time inside it didnt matter. Most of our time was spent enjoying the view and the breeze on the gallery. We never even turned on the TV! The beach and location were great. We did small morning trips each day to see the island then enjoyed the afternoon and evening on the beach or on our gallery. The location and proximity to the beach were great! The pool was nice too. This condo is stocked with all you need to prepare simple meals and drinks as well as go to the beach. Needs a new cooler and an umbrella would be nice. It’s very dated and needs a facelift but clean when we arrived. The property manager was great- very responsive and stopped by when we needed him. Our unit was on the first floor with direct access to the beach and a short walk to the pool. Parking was convenient. The unit is a bit dated and we did experience a couple cockroaches in the unit. The floor didn't appear to have been cleaned but was tolerable. The TV didn't work when we arrived but Earl came over and got it working within a day. The metal grate is held up by the missing handrail. The best part of the condo was the friendly orange cat who visited us daily and the proximity to the beach. Earl was wonderful and had the clogged drain fixed quickly. Reading the reviews, I was not expecting an updated condo but I wasn’t expecting a condo needing basic maintenance to be done. ##### Colette G. Is older and dated, but that's not why a person comes here. It's what's out the front door!!!! Could use a new master bed. On our last day, Delta cancelled our return trip home. Earl was awesome and let us stay for the rest of the day since our flights were moved until the evening. We had a great family vacation to St. Croix! The condo was in a great location and we loved being able to walk right out to the beach from our place. The beach was well maintained too. The condo was spacious for our family of 4 and I loved that there were 2 twin beds for my girls so they didn't have to share a bed. Earl was fast to get back with any questions we had as well.
