Come relax on St Croix and enjoy our little slice of Caribbean paradise at Anchor's Away ! This ground level condo offers an expansive view of Christiansted, the harbor and Protestant Cay. The turquoise blue Caribbean Sea fills your view by day. Tropical moonlight shimmers on the water by night. The masts of the tall ships sway with the breeze as yachts bob on the gentle waves. Anchor's Away features 2 large bedrooms, each with individually controlled A/C. There is King size bed in the master bedroom and a Queen in the 2nd bedroom and linens are provided. Two full baths include an en suite master bath and a hall bath both with beautifully tiled showers. The master bath has shower only and the hall bath has a tub/shower combo. Bath towels are provided. Relax on our large gallery with a cool drink. Bask in the salty sea breeze as you gaze out at the Caribbean Sea. Take a swim in one of our two pools. The main pool area has a kiddie pool as well. There are BBQ grills in a covered pavilion for your convenience. There are also tennis courts for your use. SARGASSO Update: The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach. The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free. The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September. This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. Sharp kitchen knives were dull, no way of sharpening. Very minor issues. Sheets in master bedroom were clean but has lost its elasticity so they kept popping off the mattress. Would recommend living step by step instructions to work the TV and different box options. Property manager was great and very responsive to our needs. Would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to friends. I would however mention the “steps” for both getting to unit and pool. We found it challenging at our ages (seniors) especially with our suitcases. We did get stronger going up and down as the 2 weeks went on but would look for less in the future…. We loved watching the ships come in and out. The condo has everything you could possibly need, everything appears brand new! It's walking distance (but hilly!) I sent you a video of the tv not working during super bowl so I was not lying. My husband as you said called you. I didn't travel with my husband so it must have been someone else you are talking about. The tv clearly did not work properly and was very disgusting trying to watch 2 hours of the super bowl. Maybe it was another one of your renters. I called about the sliding doors not locking and you said you would check with the owner about bars to put in the doors. You never responded and there were no bars to block the doors. 2 out of 3 ceiling fans did not work and there were no replacement batteries in the refrigerator where you keep them. As a renter I think it would be beneficial to have a simple drawing for locating the pools. As a newcomer the complex was a little confusing. I took us a little time just to find the unit. As for the soiled pillows, that is flat out disgusting. To think you can hide them with pillow covers is ridiculous. The soiled pillow in the room on the left as you walk in did not have a zippered pillow case cover. As a renter you should offer your clients the best you can and that is way below the threshold. Maybe some people don't check before laying their head down but I did. 27 steps to get to condo not mentioned.
