"I recently stayed at The Heart of Huxley Bay fishing lake house, and I have to say, it was a truly lovely experience. The house itself has that cozy cabin vibe, decorated with warmth and a touch of charm that immediately makes you feel at home. Each morning, sipping coffee on the porch while taking in the stunning views of the lake was a highlight. Fishing was, of course, a big part of our stay. The lake is teeming with fish, and it was such a joy to cast a line right from the dock. I caught several decent-sized catfish during our trip, which made for some great meals in the evenings. What I appreciated most was the peace and quiet of the location. It’s very serene, perfect for unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life. The area around the lake house has some nice roads too, which we explored in the afternoons.The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and there’s even a grill outside for those beautiful evenings by the lake. The hosts were incredibly friendly and ensured that everything we needed was at our fingertips.Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway filled with fishing and beautiful scenery, The Heart of Huxley Bay is definitely worth considering. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit!"

Perfect place to come and get away from the busy city life and enjoy the quiet and peaceful country life. There is a store/restaurant right up the road that has awesome food if you don’t feel like cooking, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner"

"Memorial Day weekend; easy check-in & check-out. Nothing fancy about this place but it’s clean, comfortable and quiet. We were traveling on motorcycles so we were the only noisy ones lol but just as we were arriving and departing …"

"I first came to this beautiful place in 2021 looking for clarity and peace from life. I found those things at the cabin. The cabin has become a yearly trip for me get away from all of the craziness life brings. Cabin is always stocked with most of the things needed in case you forget anything. Beautiful view of the lake. I spend all of my time on the wharf (dock/pier) enjoying the sounds of nature and the water. We caught a good bit of fish this weekend. Owners are next door and are always available if you need anything. They are the sweetest couple. Great place for any solo female travelers as it’s very safe. I can’t wait to be back at the cabin next year. "
