What are you waiting for? Waterfront home, on beautiful Lake Wissota, that can fit the whole family. A private, fully furnished house with gorgeous views. This house allows guest access to Lake Wissota and all it has to offer. Take your boat to the many eateries and sand bar beaches along the 60 miles of shoreline and then tie your boat on our dock at the end of the day. Swim, fish or relax off the dock, enjoy the patio or make a fire. One mile away from trails to walk, bike or snowmobile. Walking distance and views of Lake Wissota Golf & Events, for endless outdoor fun. Walk down the street to golf 9 or 18 holes, hone your skills on the putting green, or just spend hours practicing on the driving range. So many options! So much fun to choose from, something for everyone. This house has two plus bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room and a sunroom. The spacious primary bedroom has a king bed and offers a private porch, a small sitting area with a gorgeous view, smart TV, a private full bathroom with a large shower and also an attached room with two twin bunk beds. The second bedroom has a king bed, a large closet and a smart TV. The full kitchen includes new appliances and has an expansive island ready for any cooking, prepping and gathering. The dining room table seats 6 plus a bar table that holds 2 more. Plenty of places to unwind, either in the living room with the large screen TV or in the relaxing sunroom with ample amount of windows to enjoy the sunset over the lake and the eagles flying up above. Outside is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. A patio area to sit and relax, plenty of green space for yard games or the large dock with seating and a bench to enjoy the lake view. Note, this body of water is part of the historic Chippewa River, downstream of the Xcel Energy Jim Falls Dam, water levels fluctuate. Currents and water levels are unpredictable - use at your own risk. Things to do: Wissota State Park: Whether you want to go for a hike or relax on the sandy beach, Wissota State Park should be on your vacation to-do list. Only a 10 minute drive and it offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area, located on historic Lake Wissota, and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area for walking and hiking. Plenty to do for the whole family. Old Abe Trail: If biking is your thing to do, you are only 3 blocks away (less than a 2 minute bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail. This trail offers 28 miles of beautiful (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area. Leinie Lodge: Located less than 20 minutes away is the historic Leinie Lodge. Leinenkugel brewery was founded in 1867 and has been a huge part of history for Chippewa Falls. Go enjoy a refreshing beer out on their patio or take a tour and learn about the history of Leinenkugel. Also, make sure to check out their website for any events they have going on throughout the year. Lake Wissota Golf & Events: Located right across the street, within a 10 minute walk or a short drive away and plenty to do. You can book a tee time and enjoy their beautiful 18 hole golf course. You can also enjoy a meal or some drinks inside or out on their patio, with a beautiful view of Lake Wissota. We stayed at this lovely lake home and enjoyed a bit of fallish weather with lots of room for our family to come and be with us. Our VRBO hosts were very responsive to all of our inquiries and needs. Everyone had the best time with day adventures to all the local sites, including a winery and a few breweries. Of course the dock on the lake made every day scenic with picturesque sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped with anything needed to cook a simple meal or a holiday dinner. The home is tastefully furnished and comfortable. My favorite room is the sunroom from which I enjoyed views of the garden, river and sunsets. Communication with the owners was easy. Aug 4, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Nice place but too many interruptions Started off our family vacation with our adult children and dogs not having a great place to park our truck/trailer in their U shaped driveway due to an enclosed trailer being parked in the middle of it.The next day i woke up to a message from the owner saying they moved our trailer and would stop back later to move it back which was not ok. I was then asked to water their hanging plants which i didnt do. People showed up twice that day. It not only happened that day but every single day we were there. It was uncomfortable and made us feel like we were being watched and not trusted on their property. Someone mowed twice while we were there with no heads up. Sprinklers were going off during the day. We brought 3 dogs with us that we paid extra for and we like to sit in the yard and to also play yard games. So imagine the mess of not only fresh grass clippings but wet grass clippings. I understand people have to mow their lawns but as a renter I should be able to expect a heads up on when they plan to do it and 2 times was unnecessary. The owner and I did have messages back and forth about things. She replied quick but just made excuses. Told us there wouldn't be anymore interruptions. Then the owner was in and out with his boat by the "private" dock. Also had someone stop to treat the yard for insects. Both happening after we were told no more visits.
