This place was disappointing from the very beginning. Way too expensive for what you actually get. The pictures make these little cottages seem grand. We wouldn't exactly call the view "waterfront" - even though you can walk out of the cottage and see the water, the pictures made us believe we may have a porch that faced the water, but we were next to the road. Our particular cottage was dated with a loud AC window unit (loud enough to interrupt our sleep several times and way too hot to turn off or even turn down). Good comfy bed, but no way you could sleep four people in this place. The pullout sofa was located directly across from the foot of the bed. Opening it up would have completely blocked any pathway from the door to the bathroom. Other major downfalls are that we could hear the guests next-door because the cabins share a wall.
The coolest part about this place was the wide range of water activities offered - kayaks, paddle boarding, boat rides, etc. However, we thought the activity options were pretty expensive. We opted for the sunset boat ride at $50/person plus tax. We also took our dog for an extra $25 fee. When we got on the boat that evening, we were informed she couldn't sit, stand, or lean on the seat (she was wearing a life vest and was tethered to us). For the extra fee, that seemed unfair & the rules weren't disclosed to us when we paid for her. The boat ride lasted just about an hour - great views, but just an okay tour guide. Stay was average at best.
