We welcome you and your family to “seas the day” at our unique island vacation home. Our quiet yet central location is just a half mile from Chincoteague’s main drag, Maddox Blvd! Enjoy your saltwater escape with our kayaks and boogie boards by day, and sit around our fire pit by night. Our family fell in love with this slice of paradise many years ago, and we want to give your family the opportunity to experience all of its beauty with the best stay possible. \~ABOUT THE HOUSE\~ This is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 1636 sq. ft. townhome located in Deep Hole, Chincoteague. We have a full kitchen, living room, dining area, small office space, and fire pit. This home is perfect for a large family or two small families. We comfortably sleep 12 but can sleep a maximum of 15 with use of our sofa bed and trundle bed. Our kayaks, beach supplies, and grill are available for NO additional fee. Please note, LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED but can be rented. Here you’ll have easy access to the shops and restaurants along Maddox Blvd, which will take you right out to the beach, while also having distance from all the traffic and commotion. Right down the street you’ll find the esteemed Gary Howard Seafood as well as the Fir Landing kayak/boat launch into Little Oyster Bay. Across the road are some of the last areas of undeveloped land on the island, offering beautiful views of Chincoteague’s natural habitats and wildlife. Our neighborhood is especially ideal for anyone who loves walking, biking, bird-watching and taking in nature. Getting around is extremely convenient from our home. Located only 5 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes from Assateague Island, our close proximity to the heart of Chincoteague will optimize your island experience. If biking’s your thing, any part of the island is just a short ride away! Property not good for children, too many sharp sea shell items every wear. We had to sweep when we go there and found clothing from the prior tenants in several rooms. Owner was very receptive to our comments, and sent us a partial refund -- but we suggested this unit should not be rented for a while due to the electrical issues and the amount of water it took in -- maybe a mold issue ##### Joan M. Our stay at Blue Town Tidehome was incredible to say the least. We found the property far exceeded our expectations. So much was included with the property, including lawn chairs, kayaks, boogie boards, bikes, etc. The communication with the owners was excellent and very timely. The place is perfect for our family needs: elderly parents, teens, extended family. There is a room on the first floor which is perfect for my parents, as it has a bathroom and they didn't have to go up/down many stairs. The upstairs bedrooms are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious (A+ for great shower pressure!). Everything was clean and organized. There are many things in the shed for your beach trips, so no need to worry there. The location was great; a quiet street close to shops, restaurants, trails, and the beach. It was our first time on the island and I can't wait to come back to it and the house! Communication with the owner was fantastic. I messaged her before and during our visit and she replied in a timely manner with a great attitude. Overall, a great experience; we highly recommend it! ##### Cristina B. We like to to bike ride and it is in a great spot, by a road that leads right to the town wildlife loops. It is easy to get to, and we loved being able to ride our bikes over to the ice cream shops (which are notorious for being hard to find parking during prime ice cream time). The home was very clean and charmingly decorated in lots of beach decor. Plenty of space for everyone and the common area had lots of seating. The Burton family has put a lot of time and love into this home. As a party of 6 with 3 teenage boys we had everything we needed plus some. Kayaks, bikes, stocked kitchen, plenty of space and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We were just off the main road but away from the crowds enough to make enjoyable. Everything was easy to get to and the boys loved riding the bikes all over the island. I wanted all my children and grandchildren around me and Chincoteague Island had plenty to get into. The first floor master bed and bath was perfect and my granddaughter loved going up and down the steps. She also has 4 year old knees! She cried when we left because she wanted to stay at "the blue house". Kaylea was an awesome and attentive host.
