The Upscale Getaway Near Downtown

This cozy apartment features custom furniture in every room and a fireplace to warm up next to on a chilly night. Make use of the well-stocked kitchen to cook a hearty breakfast before setting out to explore the city! The primary bedroom has a King Bed, the second bedroom as queen bed and the pull out sofa in the living room has a queen bed. All of the mattresses are high quality memory foam.

Parking: 1 gated parking spot included & plenty of free street parking

Items of Note:

1. The condo is located on a nice quiet block in the Little Italy/ UIC neighborhood. The center of the city, West Loop, River North and many other destinations are close by and can be easily reached by public transit, it is just a few minutes' walk from the Western Blue line stop, or Uber/ Lyft/ Cab.
2. The condo comes with access to a gated parking spot. There is also plenty of free street parking should you need a second spot.
3. Each room has a least 1 piece of custom made furniture.
4. If you are looking to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. I enjoy cooking and I made sure it had everything I would need.
5. There is an Amazon Echo, who you may call Alexa, to entertain you during your stay. Ask her the weather, to play music, set an alarm.....

Guests will have the 2 bed 2 bath condo and a gated parking spot all to themselves. There is a queen bed in each room and pull out sofa bed in the living room, which is quite comfortable. The bathroom comes equipped with shampoo and soap should you need them. Linens and towels are of course provided as well.

Every guest is different and has different preferences and needs. As your host I always do my best to provide you with all of the information you need before your stay. I will also will answer any questions that might arise during your stay.

**Note**: There is a camera above the exterior thresholds of both doors. They simply monitor who is going in and out of the home. Neither camera can see inside the home and there are no other cameras anywhere on the property.

House Rules:

1. Please read over and agree to the rental agreement before booking. Any damages or house rule violations will be deducted from the damage deposit.
2. Please note we may require that you answer a few questions after booking. We look forward to hosting you!
3. If full payment is not received 28 days prior to your stay we reserve the right to cancel your stay and keep the amount already paid.
Rental Agreement and House Rules: Once you book, you agree to these terms.

General Principles:

• These House Rules are intended to ensure that our property and neighbors are respected. Rest assured, there should be no problems if that happens, but if you feel you cannot follow our Rules, we respectfully ask that you not book with us.
• Please respect our property and neighbors (there are families in the association) and keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 p.m. Guests are not permitted past 10 p.m.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

• If any party that may disturb our neighbors is thrown, large or small, or anyone engages in drug use, including marijuana use, we will require you to leave the property and impose the fines below.

Damage Deposit and Fines:

• We have overwhelmingly positive relationships with our guests and are rarely forced to fine anyone. Our intent is not to prevent you and your group from enjoying yourselves. We want all of our guests to have fun! Instead, our intent is to weed out bad actors and prevent situations that may disturb our neighbors and damage our property.
• We impose fines if any party is thrown, large or small ($1,000); anyone smokes in the property ($350); each key not returned ($75); the garage door opener is not returned ($100); or any theft occurs ($500 minimum depending on the item). We may also impose a $100 fine for excessive noise.
• If you timely let us know that an item is missing or damaged, we will simply charge a replacement cost. But if this is unreported, we will impose a fine of, or reduce your damage deposit by, three times the replacement cost for the missing or damaged item.
• Parking in the correct spot, described below, and properly centering your car between the lines is critical. Failure to center your vehicle in the spot will prevent neighbors from being able to park and will result in a $75 fine.
• If the number of guests exceeds the number specified in the reservation, we will impose a $25 charge per unspecified guest each night. If the number of guests exceeds the maximum allowed by our listing, we will impose $50 fine for each extra guest each night, and either keep your damage deposit or impose a $100 fine.
• On rare occasion, when our home is left unusually dirty, the cleaner charges extra. If this occurs, you will be charged $50 for each hour of cleaning beyond the allotted cleaning time.
• Checking out after 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay may result in a $50 fine if you are not out by 11:15 a.m. and an additional $50 fine for each subsequent hour.

Prior to Booking:
o We require that you have verified your email and phone number through the rental site. We also encourage you to provide additional identify verification such as your social media profile, a government-issued ID and a clear image of yourself.

After Booking:
o After booking with us and before your stay, we will require you to send us a picture of your government-issued ID. (We respect your privacy. This security process is no different from a hotel requiring you to present your ID upon arrival.) Upon receipt of your ID, we will send you the access instructions for the unit approximately one week before your stay or else immediately if your stay is less than one week away.
 We may call you to conduct a final screening. If we reach out to you, access instructions will not be released until we speak. If we do not hear back from you in 24-48 hours after reaching out for the screening, we may ask you to cancel your reservation.

Check-out:
o Check-out is at 11am on the last day of your stay. This check-out time applies to all stays unless: (1) an alternate plan has been agreed to and (2) payment for late check-out or extending your stay has been made. The alternate check-out plan and payment must be made at a reasonable time before the last day of your stay.
o Checking out on time is extremely important. We cannot offer last-minute exceptions. The cleaners will clean the condominium right after your stay, and new guests often check in shortly thereafter.

Chicago visit.

Excellent property in cleanliness and only 1 1/2 blocks to the Blue Line to downtown Chicago. We had our own off-street parking space and it was close to neighborhood stores and restaurants. Great experience!

Birthday celebration weekend in Chicago

We rented this vacation home for a girls’ weekend in Chicago and truly enjoyed staying there. It was clean and comfortable. The only issue we encountered was taxi drivers would not drop us at the rear alley entrance to the building (the entrance we were instructed to use) citing ‘safety concerns’, so we would have to walk around the building to get to the rear entrance. We never felt threatened while staying there so I’m not sure where they were coming from. All in all we would not hesitate to reserve this same property if we decide to do another Chicago weekend!

Beautifully remodeled apartment

We stayed in Unit 3 and it is a beautiful apartment with high ceilings and every amenity we needed for a good stay. The owner has provided a complete kitchen of items that make cooking at "home" easy and convenient. If stairs don't work well for you, or your prefer a softer bed, then use caution. The shower is absolutely STUNNING, and the hot water lasted forever. the gated parking is a small lot, so a smaller vehicle works best, and being comfortable backing in to a parking spot will make getting out of the gated lot much easier. There is a dog park and playground out back and it was fun watching the kids and the dogs enjoy the sunshine. Some noise from the neighbors above, and the neighbor below smokes outside on the landing. Easy access to pharmacies and grocery stores, and Door Dash and Uber had no problem finding the building. Great proximity to 290, which made getting to downtown, the museums and other attractions easy. Owners are quickly responsive to questions.

Family time

This is a very nice property, very clean upon entering. Was very surprised to find that it was three flights up, did not see that anywhere in the listing. For seniors traveling it made it a bit difficult but we managed. The second bedroom was sparsely furnished and very small, it could have used a little more furniture to be able to access the suitcases from somewhere other than the floor. Also, the second bathroom tub was very slippery and could use a bathmat in the shower. Our home is not in the city, so we had to get used to some of the city noises at night, not too bad just more than we used to.

Very Comfortable

Impressed with the comfort and quality of the entire unit and main bedroom. Bedside lights, small desk with mirror, very nice bathroom and shower. Kitchen is well-equipped and living room sofa is extra deep. There are two full flights with landings at the back of the unit. Initially a pain, but then we adapted. Close to UIC and Rush Hospital. Some, but not a lot of dining or shopping options within walking distance. But immediate area is nice and the included parking spot is a big plus.

Nice, reasonably quiet. Cozy and modern! Bed was too firm for us but you can not please every one. Host was very attentative and answered our questions promptly. There are 3 flights of stairs to get up to the property, so if that is difficult for you avoid this. It wasnt a problem for us. We really appreciated the off street parking. Nice place. Would stay here again.

Not great but pretty good stay

Our stay was pretty good overall. It was nice, quiet, and had all the things we needed for our stay. The host is a great communicator, and answered all our questions in a very timely manner. We liked the room to move about, the gas fireplace, the main shower with the rain shower head, the gated parking space, and the small fans in each room (stored in closets) was a bonus! There are a few things we didn’t care for though: It’s on the third floor. Thought I might have overlooked this when booking, but upon looking again, it does not tell you. The bed in each room is very firm. Like, someone could do jumping jacks next to you while you’re sleeping and you wouldn’t know it, firm. To my knowledge, there was no live TV, just apps. The process of getting into the condo is a bit of a process. Especially in our case, when it’s -9 degrees outside. Having to park on the street to unlock the box to get the key to open the front gate, find/get into the condo, get the car gate opener, go back to your car, drive around back, is a bit much, to say the least.
