Needless to say, due to the stairs some chose a nearby hotel instead but those that stayed were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness throughout. My wife mentioned as soon as she placed my son down to crawl he took off only to noticed the amount of dirt his clothes took with him so she immediately knew more followed. The kitchen (stove was full of old grease), bathroom, & flooring throughout could’ve used a deep cleaning but as a courtesy to our health and the guests that booked afterwards my family made sure it was left in better condition than they discovered simply because we’re good people so you’re welcome! The mattresses need serious upgrading, maybe invest in some padded mattress toppers as a temporary means before replacing all of them because every one of my family members including my 8mos. old slept more than 12 hrs. upon their return because their body was so restless. Only 1 TV is just tortured especially during cold days and nights but I guess that’s a personal choice that’s working for you. I almost forgot, they also mentioned they ran out of hot water so that sucked but they made due by boiling water seeing how an infant was present. ##### Brian H. They also had a laundry room, which was great for those who may have needed to clean something real quick although we had some issues with the heating at first it got resolved with the host. I would overall recommended for those who are new to Chicago and would like to explore. Just a few issues that might be resolved by the time next guests arrive. There was construction going on which caused us to lose access to water for a short while, and some dust and debris on stairs from drywall installation. We saw a little uninvited guest (baby roach) but just that tiny one made a visit. Lastly, rear bedroom temperature was not the same as the other rooms. So the person in that room wasn’t as comfy. The convenient, free on-street parking made coming & going a breeze. Samanta was very kind and helpful; giving restaurant suggestions for the area. It was also fantastic to receive a text response saying we didn't need to take out trash or strip beds because, "You are our guests". Our trip went better than I could have ever expected in part due to this convenient, reasonably priced property. ##### Casey M. Neighbors in the building were friendly and welcomed us to chicago when we met them in the hall. Apartment was up to date, clean and well furnished with everything we needed. We felt safe in the neighborhood and it was near a bus line and walking distance to the green line rail to pop downtown. There are several flights of stairs to the apartment but it wasnt a bother in all honesty. We parked on the street and didnt have any concern about our vehicles safety. Host was nice, prompt and so helpful when we forgot something after we left and had to go back. Absolutely will stay here again if ever in Chicago. ##### Bethany V. The host contacted me when I had some questions. ...worked with me when needed...was gracious and welcomed us... The place is very clean with nice amenities. The stairs to the 3rd floor are steep and winding. That should be stated in the description...Our group could climb them...but one person who was originally planning on being with us would not have been able to handle them. ##### Jay C.
