This was my first time ever using Vrbo so I was a bit nervous but the host was so welcoming and the check-in process was a breeze!!! The location of the apartment was amazing!!! My best friend and I forgot a few things at home but was able to walk 2 minutes to a Whole Foods and grabbed what we needed! The inside of the apartment was very clean, modern and really accommodating. I fell in love with how cool the kitchen was and selfie ready the bathroom mirror is lol. Our host was very communicative from the start and made accessing the property very easy. The place was immaculate and each room had its own air conditioner, which was nice considering it was in the 90’s outside for our whole trip. The property is in a perfect location, with a Whole Foods and a Walgreens less than a block away. Parking can be hard to find in Chicago without paying a fortune, however I found free street parking just a couple of blocks north on Ashland, so I recommend checking there before paying for overnight parking. Beds were nice and comfy and the place is well-equipped for any length of stay. We will definitely stay here for every Chicago trip moving forward! ##### Daniel K. Was exactly as depicted and in a great spot to check out bars and restaurants for 3 guys in our mid to late twenties. The host was very accommodating and when I contacted them about extra bedding they had it delivered direct to us. The only issue someone might run into with this property is if you are driving in from out of town. The street parking is all payed and has rules the require moving your car in the middle of the night so we parked off site for the 3 days and just took the train or walked, or rideshared everywhere. The focus of the budget upgrades on the apartment itself were clearly cosmetic, with comfort coming in a distant second. Very firm/shallow sofa & firm matresses (linens were clean - but no top sheet or extra blankets). Very creaky floor planks are separating from subfloor in several areas (moisture?). Upstairs neighbor's floor is also creaky. No access to a thermostat... we were told that is controlled by building mgmt; so we wore clothes to bed on a chilly night 1\. Fortunately, weather warmed up for remaining days. Check-in letter offered wrong wifi password... it took 2 days to get the correct one because our host kept abandoning the conversation, then passed me off to an unknown text number who identified as "asst host", but had no clue who I was or which property I was at. The host finally responded by asking why we couldn't just use the wifi on our phones (uh, tablets, laptops...?). She finally provided the password after we looked up the correct network name on Roku. We wanted someplace close to our daughter in Wrigleyville, and we found the location to be excellent. The apartment itself is located in a vintage apartment complex consisting of four buildings around a center courtyard. The entire complex is gated and locked and felt very secure. It is set back off the street and because of that it is not terribly loud. The unit is attractively renovated and is well represented by the images shown here. The kitchen is quite spacious, but since we didn't actually use it during our stay, I can't comment on whether it is well-appointed for cooking.The bathroom is a bit tight, but functional. The water pressure in the shower is weak in the hot setting, so you can have a cool shower with good water pressure or a hot shower with very little water pressure. The beds were comfortable enough; however, the poly-fill pillows are so thick and so firm that they are practically unusable. Recommend bringing your own. Also, in the same vein, I am never a fan of big, heavy duvet covers, especially in the summertime, but there was no top sheet provided (and I looked in all the closets), so you're forced to sleep with the duvet or nothing. There are window AC units, thank goodness.Lastly, I should mention how tight the vetting process was for this unit. Apparently, they have had some issues with renters in their other apartments, so they are now very conscientious about fully vetting their guests in advance. ##### Stacey D.
