In the late nineteenth century, this characteristic house was built as a hotel and was given the name "Elvezia La Specola". Our grandfather Giuseppe became the owner of the house in the early forties, and since then it has been our family home. The ground floor has now been converted into a great fresh pasta store and a well known Winery. We wish to welcome you in the apartment facing south, which was completely renovated in 2015 and consists of a kitchen area and living room, a double room and another double room on the mezzanine, a bathroom with shower, and a terrace. We offer free Wi-Fi. On the ground floor there is a laundry room. A communal courtyard is available for parking your car, as well as a common area garden. Our house is centrally located, within walking distance from the station and the famous "Crotti". The apartment is clean and close to everything. Communication and check in with the property owner is seamless. We arrived by train and the apartment is literally right near the train station. Just about 50 yards from the train station, which was perfect because we arrived by train and we did don’t have a car. However, there is parking available. Close to hiking trails and many restaurants and shops. Paolo was great to deal with. Any questions we had, his response was prompt. We enjoyed our stay in Chiavenna and look forward to a return visit in the future and I would definitely look into staying at Paolo’s apartment again. ##### Melissa L. A signaler toutefois : quand les fenêtres sont ouvertes, le bruit des autos et des motos.
