Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Good, but not that good.
Hotel rooms of ggod size, however they are a little run down and in need of deep cleanse or refresh.
Pleasant grounds, with access to fitness centre etc. plenty of space to walk (as its a golf resort).
Breakfast buffet is well stocked with many options.
Hotel Bar prices are on the edge of extortion (1 x local Beer, Small White Wine - £26 !!! ).

When arrived at check in had to wait a while for staff. Room is quite a walk away from the car park. For some reason heating had been left on in the room and it was incredibly hot. No food available after 11pm. Rooms are very average. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Annoyingly late check out was denied but then had to queue and wait 25 minutes for check out due to insufficient staff.
We wanted a quick getaway and my partner had a work golf day planned . We had a refurbished Junior Suite which was good . There was a lack of personal amenities but they did their best to resolve. The food was very haphazard with the only choice for dinner back in the golf club with golfers cheering on a football match . Not really what I had expected. The next day we had afternoon tea . The cakes were great but the sandwiches hard and most still had the edges on so again not quite what I hoped for . The General Manager , Nasko was fantastic and really tried to assist . Breakfast was good . Quality of sleep was bad as the couple above just had a row , slammed doors and then left at about 2 am only then to return slamming doors again at 3am .. we were then up at 7 for golf . The bed was 2 pushed together and I could really feel the join . The bedding was all synthetic so not at all what I was expecting. Not a feather pillow in sight nor a spare blanket etc. There was no evening turn down and if you stay a few days they do not service your room . I do not go away expecting to make my own bed and go in search of fresh towels . They spa was always busy . They did not call me back for 4 days and then said no treatments were available. I had called them over 20 times try to book in advance. The grounds were lovely and very well maintained. Super swimming pools .
amazing, with a b-day suprise treat from the staff
This was our second stay at the foxhills, this time a 2-nights stay. Excellent experience every single time. The Head of Housekeeping, Ursula Offord, together with staff members Daisy Flaviousious and Agnieszka organised a "happy birthday" celebration as a surprise during breakfast... thank you it was amazing, we really enjoyed the special effort made by the staff.
Foxhills is a real bubble of fresh air, even if you don't play golf. Perfect for a couple's retreat: cream team, spa and massages, fresh outdoors, well fitted gym and big comfortable and spotless bedrooms. Highly recommended, we're about to book again !
Wonderful room with a very comfy bed, powerful shower and lots of space. We practically had the heated outdoor swimming pool to ourselves and i also managed to fit in a wonderful massage at the spa. Only niggles - my appointment at the spa had been moved back half an hour without anyone letting me know and it got noisy very early outside our room.
Lovely hotel, great facilities, lovely big room.
However, I had to be up at 5.30am so was in bed early and the coming and going of people from rooms was quite noisy as the doors were quite loud when closing so didn’t get as good a night sleep as was hoping.
Lack of wait staff in lounge - non existent or flustered and rushed.
Reception staff very helpful, warm and inviting.
Room- no shampoo to use in bath as it’s on the wall in the shower?!?
No tissues down stairs.
Didn’t feel especially special.
I know these are small details; however, make the stay from mediocre to excellent.
Will stay again though as conveniently placed.
Great stay recently at Foxhills, staff offered excellent service throughout and we enjoyed meals in both the main dining room and nineteen. The room was nice and spacious with a decent mini bar and seperate seating area which was great. My only gripes were the bathroom which was in desperate need of a refresh (when was the last time you changed the taps??), the water out of the hot tap was scalding (just add a warning sticker!) and there wasnt an option to control the heating in the room. However, these are small gripes compared to the amazing food in the Foxhills restaurant - the cheese board in particular was amazing - and the Spa and treatments were perfect. Defintely recommend.
Lovely place, great value and such friendly, helpful staff. Thank you to reception team who were most helpful and Daisy in Restaurant 19 who made our meal very enjoyable and couldn't do enough to help. Hot, fresh food. Definately would go back. Spa all very clean too. Can't fault the place or staff.
Was really great stay and the hotel is amazing, the spa, food and grounds were excellent. One thing I would say is that the room we were in had a few light bulbs out plus the taps were strange and didn’t work all that great. Minor issues though 😊
It’s a good hotel but for the cost I would have expected better standards. Bathroom in the room needed some TLC lots of limescale. No point having patio doors with nothing outside it. Ice for the room took 2 hours to come. Spa was crowded and couldn’t even get robes. No hair dryer in room. Just a little disappointed for the cost
Lovely hotel, tentative and helpful staff. This is our family and friends weekend get away to hotel, which we have visited 6 times in the last two years. Thank you for the great service.
Beautiful setting, lovely big room.
Breakfast buffet was great and services on the grounds were wonderful.
Taxi firm the hotel ripped us off travelling 4.5 miles at £25 and when questioned argued and was very rude !!! Complete rip off merchant. This spoiled the lovely 4 days for me. We told reception but nothing was followed up to our knowledge.
I booked the room
Very late to sleep for few hours and I booked a standard double room when I checked in they offered me twin room, both the receptionist and the manager were very rude and disrespectful and made me feel unwelcome, she later half heartedly upgraded me to a bigger room. Breakfast buffet was terrible but the girl who was serving was very nice. Will never come near this hotel again
