Private DOWNSTAIRS suite and HOT TUB. No pets allowed. Very clean to maintain guest safety. Owners live upstairs year round.

Guests enjoy private 6-seat hot tub, patio, campfire and yard with amazing Mountain View. Queen bed/bath with King studio. NO kitchen but equipped with gas grill with side burner, basic pots/pans, microwave, refrigerator, coffee station and laundry.

🚩Gravel road entry 1/4 mile (not suitable for motorcycles or trailers). Large paved driveway for parking. Amazing views at 3700 ft elevation.

From booking to check out, Bette and her property were spectacular. Set in a beautiful mountain overlook, the Adirondack chairs on the front porch provided the perfect setting for our morning and evening relaxation time. After a long drive, getting into the perfectly heated hot tub was a plus. The space is accommodating with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Maggie Valley. The bed in the main living area is super comfy allowing us to sleep like babies away from our mattress at home. All in all, an exceptional stay in the mountains while visiting our best friends. We will be back!

Great and relaxing from the porch with hot tub and awesome in the morning while drinking coffee and watching the hummingbirds. Bed was comfortable and she had everything we needed. Betty has a great property and was very nice and easy to communicate with.

My husband and I loved our stay here. The view is incredible. I loved waking up to the mountains each morning. The place is incredibly clean and we had everything we needed! The hot tub was perfect for winding down each night. We'll be back for sure!

Beautiful View.

We enjoyed staying at this property. Even though no kitchen, we utilized the owners grill and our crock pot. Dorm fridge fit what we needed too. Beds were very comfortable. Linens clean and fresh smelling. Towels are hotel thick and fresh smell. Hot tub was a hit! Roasted marshmallows at the fire pit. We missed our dogs so we enjoyed petting owners well behaved animals. Owner was quick to respond to our questions previsit and during our stay. Very attentive to making our stay pleasant. Drive is narrow and steep but our SUV did just fine climbing up and down. We heard owners footsteps upstairs but it did not bother us. We have stayed at similar rentals. We enjoyed playing miniatures golf, antique shopping, wheels of time museum, fishing, driving to neighbor towns to sitesee and shop.

Glorious views and friendly companions

Nestled in the hills high above the quaint town of Maggie Valley, and nearby to adventure and sights of the blue ridge mountains area, is Bette’s home. A beautiful home and lovely place. Everything is as advertised. We enjoyed our talks with Bette, who was both very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The jacuzzi was always enjoyable after a day of exploring, hiking and driving. All of the lodging, the area and Bette’s hospitality was great.

Beautiful View

The view was amazing. The quest house was nicely decorated and clean (except for a couple spider webs). The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was so relaxing especially looking at the view. Ziggy the cat is so friendly! The only downside is that the owners live on the main floors and sometimes they have hard footsteps noise. Woke us up a couple times. But we appreciated the stay.

The view was stunning! The apartment was nice and the hot tub was a perk! Bed was comfortable, there was more noise coming from upstairs then I had expected/hoped for. The road to the driveway was hard to find at first but once we knew where it was we were good.

A great mountain escape

Really can't say enough good things about this property and Bette. Location was easy to find and the view from the property is epic. Bette has put a ton of thought into making sure you have everything you need for your stay. The property is extremely clean and immaculately kept. Bette gave us great tips on where we could go and adventure around North Carolina! We rented a slingshot for the week and were able to drive it up to the property with no problem! We will miss waking up every morning to to beautiful view from the backyard and seeing her sweet cat and dog. We truly felt right at home! Thank you Bette for making our stay great! We will definitely be back!!

Cozy Home-away-from-Home!

Ski House is a cozy, comfortable Home-away-from-Home! Very clean apartment, well furnished with a comfy leather sectional couch & large flat-screen TV, very comfortable King-size bed, washer/dryer, frig/microwave/coffee maker, etc., as well as a fire pit, hot tub, grill, and outdoor chairs to compliment the spectacular view of the mountains!! Host Bette provided every commodity & necessity to provide for our comfort & convenience! A great 'home base' location for day trips to Waynesville, Sylva, Franklin, Asheville, Bryson City, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains, etc. Can't WAIT to return!!

Amazing location, Amazing house, Amazing host!!

This was the perfect location for us. Spacious living room, everything was clean, lots of amenities provided. The location was absolutely amazing with a mesmerizing view of the mountains. The host was very helpful and communicative. She also has a cat and a dog which we dearly miss playing with!! One thing to keep in mind is the approach road, I recommend driving something bigger than a mid-sized sedan as parts of the road is loose gravel with some incline. Our Honda Civic managed it fine (in June), but we were always nervous driving up/down from the house.

Anniversary getaway

I surprised my husband with a much needed trip. I wanted to visit some activities in the area but wanted quiet evenings. The picture perfect view was very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive. Private entrance and very quiet.
