(Note - garage is not available to guests) The custom modern design by the owner of Watershed himself and the construction with repurposement and other environmentally-friendly methods as a focus make this home special. This 'mountain-modern' cabin with its chic industrial loft elements styled with a mountain flair sits perfectly on a private lot with a long-range, sunset view of Sassafras Gap. The design details need to be witnessed, but the features like home theater, indoor and outdoor rain showers, master jetted tub, and of course floor to ceiling windows, make this one of our premiere cabins, if you dare use that term for it. And for 2020, we have added a wet/dry sauna as an amenity! Also, it is located on our 50-acre tract we call the Watershed Resort. kitchen Your kitchen is appointed with granite counter tops and all new stainless appliances including dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. We also provide you with all the dishes, utensils and cooking tools you'll need. A gas grill is provided for BBQ connoisseurs (full propane tank included). great room The great room features a living and dining area with table suitable for seating 6\. The decor features leather sofa, bamboo floors, gas-log fireplace and loft-industrial interiors with a minimalist theme. There is HD TV with Blu-Ray DVD player. There's a wraparound covered deck that features a relaxing bedswing that may just trump the indoor space for your time. garage The garage is for use only by the cabin owner and not available for use by tenants. sleeping accommodations All our cabins feature both down and foam pillows as well as down comforters. Each bed has a pillow-top mattress and luxury, all-cotton linens. Designer-luxury towels are provided for the base number of occupancy with additional stock towels for hot tub use. ground floor The king master bedroom is enormous and features 2 captain's chairs, a modern LED fireplace and 50" TV. Large windows and doors provide an open feel to the outside firepit and hot tub, but total blackout can be achieved with the wall to wall drapes. A huge master bath is adjacent, with its 2 person jetted tub and open rain-shower area plus double sinks. Large washer/dryer is on this level. upstairs The home theater room can be converted to the second bedroom. 2 futon-sofa units fold flat and can be topped with our 2" foam mattress topper and mattress pad to make a king bed. Full bed linens including light-down comforter and pillows are provided. This bedroom uses the main shared bathroom, with its built-in slate tile shower among the log structure of the home. EV Charging - the home is equipped with a 240V outlet ready for a charging station. Outdoor seating near fire pit is wet/moldy- Swing is nice- inside is beautiful and very comfortable- lots of technology that os a bit dated- overall it's a great spot that just needs a little TLC- The outside shower is wonderful ##### Aaron B. The views and porch are amazing the fire pit and hot tub as well. The kitchen is large and good for cooking meal and the living room and couch are comfortable. The master bedroom is large and comfortable as well. Both the upstairs, outside and the master bath showers are great. The only negatives I have are the cabin needs a deep clean it is not dirty but it is starting to get dusty and grungy and will soo be dirty if no deep clean is done. Second thing is the property roads. It says motorcycle friendly which is not true unless you have a super moto bike. I am very very glad we drove my wife's suv because my car would have been way to low and rwd would have meant I would not have been able to reach the cabin. Not a deal breaker but if you are reading this it would be good to know. All that aside I would stay again. ##### Eric C. You must have SUV or FWD to reach easily. The design makes you feel like you are in a treehouse. The furnishings, decor, and details are lovely. We really loved the outdoor swing, sauna, and hot tub (wonderful after a day of hiking). However, I suspect there is a carpenter bee infestation. There are visible bees flying around and into the porch ceiling and sawdust is EVERYWHERE! The cabin could use some refreshing- the pillows on couch are flat and unraveling, the shower handle in master bath fell off (we put back on), the heated towel bar kept falling off and was broken in the corner, fireplace didn’t work (according to instructions), Alexa didn’t work, and the drain in master bath was slow (emailed to Watershed but we did not need them to address during our stay- just noticed).. The kitchen needs some added items- only one wine glass, minimal cooking utensils, etc. They could use updated instructions to things (fireplace and TV) and some details of the town- restaurants, grocery stores, shopping would be nice. ##### Julie V. Rented this property for our 21st anniversary trip, and we were NOT disappointed. The foyer and stairs are STUNNING and the house is clean, well appointed, and super comfortable. We cooked dinner in all 3 nights and had everything we needed aside from the food we bought at the nearby Ingles. We hiked the property to the Yard and down to the waterfall. It was super peaceful and well taken care of. I also really liked the idea of so much of the cabin being salvaged (it apparently won awards) such as the granite, cabinets, kitchen appliances, etc. Just icing on the cake that they did their part to keep stuff out of landfills in such a beautiful way. Checkin and check out were super easy. The cabin is definitely off the beaten path. The amenities in the cabin are outstanding. If there was an issue it is the lighting situation. They try to make it easy by using Alexa to run the lighting. It just doesn't work consistently and then some switches dont work. The view of the Smokies is terrific. ##### Rob O. I got my scooter up the gravel hill as long as no moisture around, but it is definitely not something I looked forward to. So if you can leave your bike somewhere else and okay with that, excellent.
