The ad said they have room service which was False. Deli and snack bar wasn't much and I had to go somewhere else to get beers. Had to get special key to use elevator to street as front steps we're too hard for me. Handicapped people would probably need to call to have them meet them since you need a electric card to get in. Beautiful room. Beautiful property.two blocks from UC Davis Health Pavillion Theatre.

Only thing that was a disappointment was there was a party going on in one of the rooms at 1am, then 3am then 430am. Otherwise the hotel was nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sawyer. It was a little noisy due to a big event at the venue directly next to the hotel. The staff was super helpful and was available for all our requests.

We were disappointed with our stay. The hotel is two separate buildings and we were in the one in the back. The door to the building was not locked so anyone could walk through. The hallways weren’t clean and the building had a weird smell. Don’t let the pictures fool you. The patio area between the two buildings was not anywhere I would want to spend time.

Delta King Riverboat was what I expected and a touch more. The cozy, clean room had a view of the river. The hotel, itself, is one of the anchor’s of the area’s old-timely charm. We were only here overnight so didn’t get to take in the museums (history and railway) a stone’s throw from the front door. Old town Sacramento is touristy and the immediate neighborhood has that vibe. The hotel’s restaurant bar is comfortable, features indoor and outdoor seating with nice river views . You get free drink tickets with your room, which was an unexpected, nice touch. We got a great night’s sleep here and had a nice, steamy shower before setting off. We’ve been on a three 1/2 week holiday, in three states. The staff at the Delta King, everyone we had contact with (valet, check in, bartender, housekeeping , etc.) was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
