We are a 2 minute walk to to the heart of the stunning medieval village of Bourton-on-the-Water, but benefit from lots of privacy to recharge after a day of sight-seeing or walking. The walks from the house are world-class and cater to all levels while the pubs and restaurants in the area are memorable. The house has a large open-plan kitchen, diner, living room and snug with log burners. The house has a very open plan feel with dark wooden floors and fabulous spaces to relax and entertain in. The property is very well lit and in an extremely safe and sought-after area. The area is filled with traditional, welcoming pubs, restaurants and cafes which are open all year round. There is a supermarket (Co-Op) and numerous convenience stores just 2 minute walk away in the village. There is off-street parking for 2 cars at the rear of the property. The neighbourhood is filled with pleasant cottages, a nearby park and access to amazing walks along the River Windrush and beyond... your \`local\` will be The Mousetrap Inn, less than 100m away which serves local beers and great food all year round. Regular buses run to Cheltenham, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh etc. Walking routes connect all the villages, with lovely country pubs en route. We have a preference for families or mixed-sex groups that are looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay vs those looking to use the space to party. We are a young family and this is our home so we expect guests to respect the property. \*\*Important:\*\* We are committed to protecting our homes and guests, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent ID verification as part of the booking process. It’s nice and easy - taking less than 5 mins to complete. \*\*\* Please note: We verify your details before your booking can begin and this must be completed 48 hours prior to your stay. You’ll receive a secure link to our deposit, damage waiver and ID verification platform to complete this step. You’ll be given the choice between paying a fully refundable £300 deposit (with a small, non-refundable £4.70 fee for UK cards or £9.00 for international cards) or purchasing a non-refundable £30 damage waiver, which protects you against accidental damage up to £300 during your stay.
