The instructions for entry at the garage were incorrect and after 30 min. we founds the front door unlocked. The house was in poor repair and left dirty. There was food in the refrigerator , an exploded soda can in the freezer, we were short sets of towels ..8 instead of 13 for our party, the dining chairs were loose and wobbly with nails protruding scratching legs, the hot tub alarm was on because it was way over due for cleaning, the pool also was not clean and had a show floating in it, the beds were not comfortable, the master toilet stopped up and the plunger provided was nor functional, the air conditioner was not adequate for the home and had a malfunction so the house was hot…we had to go but fans, the outside kitchen was unoperationable with no water and a filthy sink. The proprietor was wonderful as we dealt with these many issues and has assured us they will be corrected so we booked for 2026 as the house accommodates our large family group. The pool once cleaned was nice for the kids as well as the hot tub.We are long term renters with no previous issues. This was our 9 th year using VRBO in the area. We rented a home for 8 years for our summer vacation until it sold so we’re are experienced renters.

Pros: Big house, nice floor plan with lots of room, fantastic location close to downtown Chelan, clean big pool with easy private river access. Quiet & safe neighborhood.Cons: This house is run down, smelly, dusty, dirty with lots of indoor bugs and so many flies. The carpets need to be replaced there was a strong urine smell especially in the master closet. It smelled like there was a gas spill in the garage and the fumes were unbearable in the garage and the smell permeated the house. Overall, the furniture is cheap and not very sturdy. The house desperately needs a DEEP clean. No check in information at the house everything is digital so make sure you receive and download the check-in info before arrival there is no cell service. WIFI password is critical for check-in and basic cell phone usage. Several issues came up; all were addressed but we had service people in and out several times and it left us feeling inconvenienced and interrupted our vacation. Communication with management needs improvement.

The pool was a huge hit for our family of kiddos, they absolutely loved it! The location of the VRBO was great and the view was awesome! We did notice a lot of dust throughout the home. It felt like some things were on their last leg and some of the furniture wasn’t sturdy. For example, a chair in the kitchen was extremely wobbly, a tile was coming up from the bathtub in the master. The downstairs shower filled with water when used and the bathroom on the bottom floor barely flush. Overall it was a good stay, but there are so updates and maintenance that could be done on the house.

Summer Kick-off

Stayed five nights. Our group, ranging in ages from 8 - 67, enjoyed ample room for sleeping and group settings. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and the pool was inviting. What else do you need? It was a very peaceful and beautiful setting, but a quick and easy drive to Chelan.
