(56 reviews) We have had four family ski holidays staying at Madame Vacances Hotel Le Mottaret and we have always very much enjoyed our time here. The very helpful and friendly staff are excellent. The location of the hotel is right next to the slope just a 30 second stroll from the hotel entrance. There is an excellent ski equipment hire shop on the premises which is very convenient and the shop staff are very helpful. The lounge/bar area is very comfortable and cosy after a day on the slopes, as well as the very soothing jacuzzi located outside at the front of the hotel. The swimming pool/ spa area is also very relaxing and complete with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We stayed on a half-board basis and the buffet breakfast is fantastic and each evening there was a different theme for the buffet dinner. We really enjoyed every meal! Our room was clean and comfortable with a bath and shower. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will soon be booking our next stay here in January 2007. (58 reviews) Excellent for a 3 star hotel. Could be more stars if they updated the rooms, wood is a bit dated. Friendly staff. Wide choice at Breakfast including full English. 10 min walk to the nearest ski lift mostly flat. A few bad points: Bed was too soft for me, had a new memory foam topper on top of a mattress. Rooms too hot, had to sleep with the windows wide open even with it -5 outside. Please provide do not disturb signs for the door, cleaner just walked in 3 times one morning.
