Lovely safe, walkable neighborhood in the heart of NODA, with easy private parking at the home, 2 smart TV's, and all the amenities you need for a great trip!Host was was impressively responsive, and ensured all need were met in a timely manor, and went above and beyond with accomodations too.Clean (duplex) house, and while on the smaller size, was bigger than expected, nicely decorated, with a spacious bed (and a second one for guests) and an enclosed porch. Freezer doesn't have an ice maker, but no biggie, and everything worked well and was quiet. The house was not clean when we arrived — the floors were so dirty that walking without shoes left our feet black. There was dust under the beds, empty bottles, a broken porch table, and even used bandages left behind. The sheets smelled musty (even after the host dropped off replacements), the couch was broken, and the toilet literally leans when you sit on it, like it’s sinking through the floor.To make matters worse, the washing machine didn’t work, there was no cleaning equipment for us to use, and the TV remote barely functioned, making it frustrating to watch anything. The listing also felt misleading, as it looked like one of the newer townhouses nearby, but it’s actually a very old home in rough shape.The one bright spot was the location — walking distance to everything in NoDa.
