Pointes North Inn is one of Charlevoix's unique condominium suites that book like a hotel room. Book for the condo's privacy, stay for the hospitality. This beautifully updated condo boasts gorgeous laminate flooring in the main living areas, tile in the bathroom and kitchen, cozy carpet in the bedroom, and plenty of lighting. In the bedroom you will find a luxurious king-size bed, a large smart tv with a roku remote, beautiful bedside tables, an outlet extension that has USB ports, an alarm clock/radio, and a dresser so you can fully unpack to feel more at home. In the closet space, you will find the bedding for the sleeper sofa, an oscillating fan, iron and ironing board, as well as 2 luggage racks. The living room offers a comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa, 2 cozy rocking arm chairs, large smart tv with a roku remote, beautiful side tables, and an electric fireplace. There is also a dining room table that seats 4\. The built-in kitchen island boasts plenty of storage. The range, full size fridge, 12 cup coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, tools for cooking and serving, a Keurig if you prefer, an abundance of counterspace and storage. The large bathroom offers a jet tub, walk-in shower, separate toilet room, and a beautiful vanity. In addition to the fabulous interior, through the sliding glass door you will find a 2 person seating arrangement on the screened in porch! No need to worry about privacy, the screen door locks and the curtains close fully. We provide towels and mini soaps for your use, as well as limited daily housekeeping services. Be sure to ask the front desk if you need a playpen or high-chair if you have a little one. Pointes North Inn has high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building and coin-operated laundry on the second floor. The lobby area has seating which overlooks the heated indoor/outdoor pool. The only things I could complain about was the carpet in the bedroom and the tub. The carpet was very custy and I wish I would have brought slippers to walk in. Also, the tub needed to be cleaned out before we used it. I wouldnt say it was dirty as in nobody cleaned it, but it was pretty dusty. I'm glad I brought some cleaning things with me. Again. Traffic was lighter and we were able to see the town and area without concerns of overwhelming tourism. The room fit our needs well. Pictures of the screened porch are taken in a flattering manner. The porch is extremely small and stacked right on top of other porches. It's not really a secluded spot to hang out but it came in handy when walking out the back straight on to the main drag. Something to be aware of if that's a main point for you. All things considered, good location and good value. ##### Jackson H. We were beyond pleased with the check in process, daily housekeeping and being asked by staff what else they can do for us. Kitchenette was fine for one night. Loved the convenience to shops, restaurants. As opposed to other VRBOs where you communicate with the owner, this was more ‘corporate’. I called with a question about access to the building/condo. Front desk lady was curt in answering my questions, made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. We brought our dog so papers to sign and initial upon check-in…I know they have to protect themselves but it does make one feel like it’s better to stay at a privately owned cottage where you don’t have to sign/agree several line items. ##### Sharon C. Stayed 1 night in Mar 2024 ### 4/10 Poor #### Erin Apr 29, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication I booked room 104 as a dog friendly room and upon check-in I was told that I was booked for room 200 and that it was not a dog friendly room. I had to go through my emails to find what room number I was originally booked into, and then told that room 104 was under construction. Luckily room 105 was available and was a dog friendly room. I was also told I had not paid the dog fee yet so I was charged an additional $50\. I didn’t realize that I was going to be charged a pet fee when I booked the room as I assumed it was built into the pet friendly description of the room.Room 105, although clean, was not worth the $230 that we paid for it. It was completely outdated, and all of the furniture was extremely uncomfortable and nothing matched. There was no “full kitchen” as described, but instead a makeshift kitchen with a tiny dishwasher, a cooktop, a bar sink and a microwave. The weird Jacuzzi tub with painted, chipping wood around it was really strange. This room is a tired old space and it needs to be updated. If you want to charge this kind of money for it, especially in the off-season. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in #104 but the pictures don't match the room we actually stayed in. We actually liked the it better than the decor in the pictures for #104\. We were told NO earlly check ins, but then they called us before 4:00pm to see if we were coming by and we were wondering town because the details say no check in before 4\. The location is conviently located in the downtown area. We only stayed 2 nights, but house keeping never came by our room, even though they told us they would be cominn by, with a fall stay and very few other people staying there, they should have been by ...luckily we had enough towels and things we needed. The enterance from the parking lot had garbage on the ground next to the door that didn't get cleaned up, so they cleaning staff didn't seem to be on top of things. Despite the lack of effort on the part of staff we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and you get a lot for the cost, kitcken, living/dining room, master bedroom, full bathroom with seperate tub and shower. ##### Glenn A. This condo was very cute and spacious for a one bedroom. Bathroom was large and included a jacuzzi tub. Toilet area had it's own door, which was great for a one bathroom multi-use! Location was nice, walking distance to local shopping and restaurants. I have one questionable situation to share in an otherwise perfect experience. In the Master bedroom, there was a wall plug that was overheating. It was HOT to the touch. If you left your hand on it, it would burn you. The first night, we had a cell phone plugged in it. When we unplugged the charging cord, the plug was so hot, it would have burned you. We thought it was the charging cord or brick, until the next day. It randomly heated and cooled with nothing plugged in. It truly was a dangerous situation. This is how fires start, and this was truly a high potential hazard. We went to the office on the second day of our stay and told the person working at the front desk. She expressed mild concern, and said she'd definitely put in a "work order" for it. She didn't seem to understand our concern that this should be handled in a more "emergent" way. We were there two more days, and no one came to check the extremely hot plug. So, I prayed for protection for our family until our stay was complete. God is good, and we're back home, safe and sound. But, I will say one last prayer that they get it fixed asap.
