We enjoyed kayaking and quahogging and the grandchildren had fun crabbing. Definitely bring water shoes! The beach pass allowed us to enjoy the BIG surf at Blue Shutters Beach. When we arrived, I realized that I did not need to as everything was very clean (almost like new). You can not beat the location. We all enjoyed our stay including my 2 year old grandson who loved playing kick ball in the huge yard. I am originally from Rhode Island and typically would beach in Narragansett. I was impressed with how much Charleston has grown and the convenience of the location. Years ago, that wasn’t the case. There’s a farm store a half a mile away as well as the absolute best coffee shop/bakery less than a mile away. The property manager was amazing and very responsive with our questions. Looks small but spacious and comfortable inside, with all the amenities you need to enjoy your time on the shore. Close to everything - Clamming, bike riding, lunch at Matunuck Oyster House and the Andrea and be sure to check out the Galapagos Boutique!! This is our second stay and this is truly a gem.
