The home/apartment was nice, on the clean side, but not totally. Cosy furniture and bedding was comfortable. There was not as many pots and pans that I would of liked but we got the job done with what we had. Bathrooms were clean, though the bigger bathroom had an awkward sink. From the bottom of the faucet to the top of the sink there was about 3 inches of room to get your hands under. Parking and the driveway were great. Issue One: The first 24-36 hours of our 5 night stay there was construction going on above us in the unit at all sorts of hours (including moving furniture at midnight). We had 3 children with us which made it interesting while sleeping. Issue two: The AC units. They sent 2 technicians out who claimed to have helped the issue, but we did not feel they were working properly. We visited this home in mid July which was very hot to begin with. The units did not keep up with cooling the place down. The only time it felt cool was between 2:00-8:00am. At that point the sun was well down and starting to rise. We reached out to the management company, who were very responsive and extremely helpful. They tried many times to help us with our situations and send the technicians over. They put a stop to the construction which they claimed they had no idea about (I do believe them). The management company gets a 10/10\. Property is clean and maintained. Coffee shop and a few great restaurants literally across the street or around the corner. Plenty of space for our family of four (two adults/two teenagers). Short drive to all the major attractions- aquarium, Riverdogs, downtown, etc. Several restaurants and coffee shops are very close by. Great parking in an area where parking is scarce.Cons: The listing says the property has air conditioning, but it is not central AC. Each room has its own wall-mounted AC unit, and they simply cannot keep up with Charleston summer heat. There’s no AC in the bathrooms, so they stay humid. In fact, the whole apartment was steamy and humid and had a moldy smell over the course of our week there. We spent our first night washing all of the towels that were left folded on the beds because the towels were damp. The AC unit in the main bedroom was great - but that was the only cool room in the apartment. The living area/kitchen was consistently around 80 degrees in the afternoons and evenings and was very damp and humid. The week we were there was incredibly hot, but there’s clearly a problem when there’s that much humidity in a home. We did report this and they were responsive and sent someone to look at the AC unit, but they said it was working fine - it was just too hot outside. We’re from North FL, so we’re used to summer heat, but the humidity inside this apartment was very uncomfortable. ##### Rebeccah L. Stayed 7 nights in Jul 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Megan O. Only had three minor complaints — the floor could have used a mopping, coffee would have been nice if provided (since filters and the machine were), and finally the door to the place doesn’t entirely seal all the way around, so the humidity seeped in (along with some stray mosquitos). Mar 29, 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Trendy Place in Downtown Charleston I stayed here with four of my girlfriends for my bachelorette party. It was very comfortable and spacious for us five girls, and we felt very safe walking to and from King Street. We were obsessed with the decor. Parking was available which was really rare for places downtown. The neighborhood was quiet but also offered a couple of close by restaurants if you don't want to go too far from the house. David was a great host and checked in on us occasionally throughout our stay. 10 out of 10 I would recommend and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Charleston. ##### Geraldine q.
