Cabin includes a Living Room with separate Den / Kitchen. Central heat / air as well as additional gas heater in the den and an additional air conditioner & gas heater in the sun-room. There is a smart TV located in den. If you would like to use your Netflix account or other provider please log out when you leave. The cabin is two levels with 3 steps separating them - the upper level has the entry from the driveway as well as a living room, bedroom and bath. The lower level has two bedrooms, one bath, den / kitchen,sunroom and exit to back deck / pier. Kitchen includes stove, dishwasher, microwave, and the all important coffee pot. Pots / pans and dishes and etc. -- it's pretty well stocked. Cabin is equipped with washer and dryer for your convenience - detergent is not provided. (Towels & Linens are provided) Back deck overlooking the lake and front porch with an electric grill & pellet grill. The cabin is pet friendly for well mannered fur babies - I do ask you pick up after them. There is a $50 charge for pets. Cabin is very private and is located on open water with a pier. The water at the pier is approximately 8 feet at full pool. The cabin has a circle driveway with parking for several vehicles. Driving around with a trailer is very tight - please message me if you have any questions. There is no boat ramp on the property. The nearest boat ramp is at Bay Springs Marina (about 3 miles away) and there is a public boat ramp at Graves Landing (approx. 6 miles away). A few housekeeping items - The trash must be removed form the house at departure and placed in one of the cans at the front of the house. Towels are to be placed in the floor of the bathrooms and used beds should be left unmade. Please pick up after your pet. There are some neighborhood dogs that leave presents - you are not responsible for them :). Please place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on - dishwasher tablets are under the sink. You will be provided with an initial supply of paper towels in the kitchen and one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through your first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hairdryer, napkins, condiments, spices (there are some but Ido not guarantee them to be what you want), dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, and anything else you may need for your perfect vacation. It was a great place for 3 couples to be together and play games and cook in a great kitchen and to go fishing off the dock and with a guide, Tim Pentecost, who filleted all the fish for our dinner that night! The sun room gave a perfect view of the sunrise and a place of quiet to read and share stories away from the guys. It is like visiting an old family member that makes you feel nostalgic. Plenty of room to spread out and find a cozy spot. The deck is great and wonderful for an afternoon of lounging and relaxing or fishing from the dock. The sun room is so comfortable and you feel like you are in a boat because you are so close to the water. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the view is everything you want it to be. Ms. Jennings is responsive and quick to help! Some were very upscale and some were not. This lovely large lake home by far.. has been our favorite. Once we arrived it was as if the rest of the world and ALL OF ITS MESS, simply disappeared. We loved the entire piece of the very private and secluded property as did our Sadie Pie! She had such a good time with the water and chasing the squirrels. Our hostess was terrific in answering all of our questions about the area. The weather by most peoples standards was terrible.. Cold, windy, freezing, rainy and to top it off SNOW! We loved it! I am not sure how Susanna pulled off our weather but we thank her! Her little part of Alabama heaven is so centrally located to so many of the surrounding cities. As it turned out that was good and bad.. Good in the fact that we were not more than an hour from several cities. Bad that we were not more than an hour away from several cities which had several thrift stores! So many in fact that we had to rent a small Uhaul trailer to take it all back to Florida. It was the perfect get away to spend Christmas Eve and day. Although we didn’t get outside much due to the weather, this place would be even more enjoyable in better weather I imagine. We really enjoyed the views from the sunroom and kitchen of the lake and the birds. The only complaint I have would be that the mattress in the upstairs bedroom is way to soft and I wasn’t able to sleep on it. It’s the best stocked home we have ever stayed in as far as kitchen cooking supplies and bedding. We took our two large dogs who are older and it was perfect. The sunroom is fabulous. This place is only about 30 minutes from Little River Canyon falls and about 50 minutes from Desoto Falls. We are at Decks and Docks and it was good. Plenty of space for all to have personal chill time. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the lake and breezes. Had fun fishing (the fish outsmarted me) and jumped in the water. Great feeling of privacy and peace. Our kids were looking forward to returning soon. We loved the sun porch that looked out over the lake. We spent a lot of time out there watching the boats. We saw geese fly over several times. That was thrilling! You could see the sunrise over the lake and the sunset was to the side of the house so you could see that quite well also. We liked that the house was quite and away from any close neighbors. Susanna was very nice and helpful. The lake was so pretty and very wide in the area where the house is. There are pretty hills that you can see in the distance. Plenty of places to relax and read. Kitchen is well stocked for use. View is really good... all water! Had no luck fishing, but maybe it was just me.
